I don't know about you, but I am so excited for school to start!! It may just be the future teacher in me, but I am ready! One of my favorite things to do before school starts is to shop for supplies, so where do I go? Target! They have a huge selection, great deals, and on top of those amazing deals you get a $5 gift card for spending $25! Spend $50 they will give you $10! Its great! Here are my 12 can't miss school deals at Target!

1. Writing Utensils by Color!

This one may be a little weird, but I love to organize by color. Purple is not only my favorite, but also a school color where I am student teaching! I think I'm going to grade in purple instead of red, too!

Price: $4.99

2. Yoobi Notebooks

I don't know if you have heard of the Yoobi brand yet but it is amazing! They donate one for every one bought. They are one subject with a folder inside and a vinyl cover so they last longer. All of Yoobi's stuff comes in blue, purple, pink, and green so that you can color coordinate your supplies! For those of us who are OCD on school supplies, it is perfect!

Price: $2.29

3. Triple Zip Binder Case

Keep all of your pens and pencils organized in one of these cute bags that can clip into your binder!

4. Yoobi D-ring binder

This is one of those fancy binders! It is a D ring so your papers fit better and it has easy openers!

5. Yoobi Mini Stapler

Mini staplers are great cause they don't take up much room so you can carry them everywhere! this doesn't seem as necessary till you go to college and they are not readily available within your classrooms! Also in college its good to carry a 3 hole punch if you like binders!

Price: $ 2.49

6. Yoobi Erasers

We all make mistakes, so why not erase them with these cute monster erasers?

The worst part about index cards is losing them. These are great because they come with a box! They also have tabs to organize them with!

8.Composition Book

The Classic Mead Composition book. I hate them but sometimes you have to have them. These come in lots of colors for a great price!

This is my favorite notebook because it has a vinyl cover which makes it hold up better than its cardboard counterpart and it still comes it a lot of fun colors!

This is a can't beat deal! The binder is great! It comes with dividers, a pocket and a ruler!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
