Ronald Reagan was perhaps the greatest president that the United States of America has ever had the pleasure of electing. Reagan had many achievements during his presidency like ending the Cold War and creating Reaganomics (which generated millions of new jobs... something we could use today). Our 40th president knew exactly what America needed back then, and what we could definitely use today. Here are 12 Reagan quotes that America needs today because, after all, Reagan really did say it best.

1. "When we honor our flag we honor what we stand for as a nation - freedom, equality, justice, and hope."

Today so many people are degrading the flag that represents our country. America needs to realize that our flag is what represents everything that we tend to take for granted in our lives, and we should respect it.

2. "We maintain the peace through our strength; weakness only invites aggression."

As a country, America must show the world that we are strong so we do not end up deep in conflict.

3. "The American Dream is not that every man must be level with every other man. The American Dream is that every man must be free to become whatever God intends he should become."

Everyone is always searching for the "American Dream", but they always think that it means they should have exactly what everyone else has. We must recognize that not everyone can be exactly the same and we must trust God to show us our own version of the dream.

4. "We must reject the idea that every time a law is broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American perception that each individual is accountable for his actions."

When something bad happens, everyone blames it on society. An individual is never solely responsible for their actions these days. America needs to understand that it is not society as a whole that is the problem; it is specific members of the society.

5. "People keep looking to government for the answer and government is the problem."

Government interference where it doesn't belong is what has gotten us into so many messes in the first place.

6. "If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a nation gone under."

Nowadays, so many people believe that we need a separation of church and state, but they are wrong. Our country was founded under God and it became a great country under God. If you feel "offended" by what our country was built upon, maybe you shouldn't be here.

7. "We don't have a trillion-dollar debt because we haven't taxed enough; we have a trillion-dollar debt because we spend too much."

We have trillions of dollars in debt and yet our government remains focused on helping other countries before helping ourselves. Wake up, people, we have a problem.

8. "The Constitution was never meant to prevent people from praying; its declared purpose was to protect their freedom to pray."

I shouldn't have to keep my religion to myself because someone is once again "offended" by it. The Constitution gives me freedom of religion, look it up.

9. "When you can't make them see the light, make them feel the heat."

We've got repeat offenders for crimes getting off easy when they obviously are not being rehabilitated. You want to do the crime; you need to be doing the time that goes with it.

10. "I believe the best social program is a job."

Too many people rely on their government assistance for a living. Get out and find a job. You shouldn't get paid to sit on your couch and watch TV while other people are out working for their money and getting less.

11. "We are forever indebted to those who have given their lives that we might be free."

Stop taking freedom for granted when so many have lost their lives to give it to you. Those individuals out fighting for our beloved country deserve the world.

12. "You won't get gun control by disarming law-abiding citizens. There's only one way to get real gun control: disarm the thugs and the criminals, lock them up and if you don't actually throw away the key, at least lose it for a long time. It's a nasty truth, but those who seek to inflict harm are not fazed by gun controllers. I happen to know this from personal experience."

Do I really need to say more?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
