12 Resolutions For The 12 Months In The New Year
Amy Cocke

Everyone makes resolutions. I have made them for years and have never really followed through with them. So this year, to try something different to achieve these resolutions, I am making 12 smaller ones for every month, so I can complete these goals each month. I am also going to try to post an article each month to show how I achieved my resolution for that month.

January- In the month of January, I want to conquer winter running. I have never ran in the winter and I would like to start to run again and do it in the cold harshness of winter.

February- In the month of February, I want to express love and the way I feel more. I am really good at bottling things up and keeping them inside until one minor thing makes me explode and break down. So in February, I am looking to communicate and love more effectively.

March- In the month of March I want to be creative. In March I want to make something really huge. Something that is time consuming and great. So in March, I will create.

April- April is my birthday month so I am going to do something better for myself. In April, I am going to "dress up" and try to look nicer for school or whatever and just be better for myself.

May- In May I want to be outside more. I want to plant things and watch them grow. I want to create life and bring beauty to the world.

June- In June I want to go to the beach and wear a bathing suit and be proud of my body and not worry about what other people think. Its my life, not theirs.

July- In July I want to run. Run every day. And get back to my long distance running and not stray from it again.

August- In August I am going to try to be more self confident and show myself that I am great and I can do anything I set my mind to. I am going to be happier with myself and not put me down as much.

September- In September, I would like to spend quality time with the people around me who I love.

October- In October, I want to be happier. Happiness is vital to life and in October I am going to try to worry less and smile more.

November- In November, I am going to be thankful and more grateful for what I have and what I don't have.

December- In December, I am going to spend more time with friends and try to act like children out in snow and cold or just do whatever.

So, instead of one or two big resolutions and not sticking to them, I made 12 that are very small and can be done in each month of this new year!

Happy New Year!! Welcome 2017!!!!!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
