It is now strawberry season, which means you will buy countless cartons of strawberries and your fridge will look like a mini strawberry warehouse. While strawberries are delicious and one of the best summer fruits, they often go bad in your fridge or you get bored of eating them out of the carton. But this does not need to happen anymore! There are literally endless recipes that utilize strawberries to make yummy treats that are perfect all year round, but especially in the summer. Strawberries are also a great food to use in recipes, because you can use them to make salads, drinks, desserts and so much more! Although there are countless recipes, here are twelve strawberry recipes that are quick and easy to make this summer:
1. Strawberry Smoothie
I used this recipe to make a strawberry smoothie, and it was really good! Most of the ingredients are things that you usually have in your kitchen, so this recipe is perfect to make when you want a strawberry-drink and don't want to run out to the store for ingredients. Although I had most of the ingredients already, I didn't have vanilla almond milk. So I used normal milk instead and the smoothie came out just fine (and if you want you can add a few drops of vanilla to the smoothie for some extra flavor). The smoothie only took a few minutes to make and was delicious! This recipe is a perfect quick and easy way to turn your strawberries into a tasty treat!
Ingredients: One cup of strawberry yogurt, one cup of vanilla almond milk, two cups of strawberries, two tablespoons of lemon juice.
Instructions: Place all of the ingredients into a blender. Make sure to put all of the liquid ingredients in first. Blend on high for two minutes, or until smooth. Scrap down the sides of the blender and blend for another thirty seconds.
