Although the Dallas Cowboys aren't the winningest team in the NFL, there are so many things that make us love our Boys through and through.
1. The cheerleaders
These girls carry the team on their back... always. They probably get more screen time on the jumbotron than the boys do, but you gotta give the people what they want. And they have their own T.V. show. What other cheerleaders have that?
2. Jerry Jones
The owner of America's Team deserves so much respect. We might as well call him America's Grandpa.
3. 5 Super Bowl wins
1972, 1978, 1993, 1994, 1996, and maybe 2017? Let's pray.
4. Troy Aikman
Hall of Famer, twelve consecutive season QB, and the number one draft pick in 1989. Troy is the man.
5. They hail from Texas and are "America's Team"
There is nothing more American than an NFL team that's blue and white, from Texas and has stars on its jerseys.
6. AT&T Stadium and the jumbotron
Little known fact: the jumbotron has its own zip code and weather forecast.
7. Doomsday Defense of the '70s
This defensive tactic won two Super Bowls (VI, XII) and played in three more (V, X and XIII). Incredible.
8. Everyone's dad and uncle and grandpa's favorite team.
No matter how poor their season is going, these men stand by the Boys. Loyal fans.
9. Their sheer value
An article from Forbes Magazine, dated September 5, 2012, lists the Cowboys as the highest valued sports franchise in the history of the United States. And they are worth $4.2 billion, in case you were wondering.
10. Their 2016 season record
7-1 baby.
11. 20 straight winning seasons
The Cowboys are the only NFL team in history to have 20 winning seasons: 1966-1985.
12. Tony Romo
We hate that we love him. Or love that we hate him.
Go Cowboys!
