The sound of bells ring. Lines wrap down the aisle. An employee with a Hawaiian shirt comes up to offer aid in a sea of frenzied shoppers. Yes, this is Trader Joe's, and it is not just a store, it's a lifestyle. With its reduced prices, optimistic slogans, and delicious products, it is not difficult to see why everyone loves it.

1. The funny product names.

From "This Blueberry walks into a bar" or "Trader Joe's Contemplates Inner Peas," TJ's knows how to win over shoppers.

2. The inexpensive prices.

Being able to buy ten items for $25 is perfect for a college student on a budget.

3. The free samples.

The unlimited free samples will have you munching throughout your visit.

4. The lack of intercom.

Instead of the loud buzzers that most supermarkets have, Trader Joe's has bells that cashiers can ring for assistance, giving it a "next door" feel.

5. The incredibly nice employees.

The employees are nice, not needy, which provide for a great food shopping experience.

6. The relatively small size.

Instead of being a huge supermarket with hundreds of products, Trader Joe's typically has so many items in only three or four aisles.

7. The convenience.

Since it appeals to many young adults, the store is located near many college campuses (!).

8. Cookie Butter.

Three words: Speculoos Cookie Butter. It's basically nectar and ambrosia, but in cookie form.

9. The sheer amount of snacks.

From wasabi peas to chocolate covered fruit, it's heaven for party (or whenever) foods.

10. The efficiency.

Even though lines might get insanely long, the cashiers work as hard and as quickly as they can to make sure the wait is not too much time.

11. The hidden toy.

You read that correctly. Trader Joe's has a toy hidden in every store across the country to provide some entertainment!

12. Everything is specialty.

Buying organic or gourmet food can be expensive, but TJ's makes sure it's available for everyone.

Going to this supermarket is necessary if you want other types of food, Trader Joe's has your back!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
