There are a few different categories of people. Broadly, there are animal lovers and non-animal lovers, and there are people who fill their homes with pets and people who choose to live in a home without any sort of animal hair or animal smells. If you're an animal lover, there are so many choices out there — there are reptiles and rodents and cats and dogs and rabbits and birds and fish. They all have perks, and they're all pets, but the two that most frequently are compared to another are cats and dogs. There is a rather deep divide between cat people and dog people, and there is always an argument between them as to which one is better. Dogs are cute and fluffy and loyal and are full of unrelenting, unconditional love. Cats, however, can completely transform your life. I'm not saying that they're better than dogs, but here are 12 excellent reasons that cats will make your life so much better.

1. They can be lovable even when they are eating your food.

2. They have minds of their own.

3. They will quickly become the boss of your household.

4. They have very cute little bean toes.

5. They can also be ridiculously weird looking.

6. They make the cutest noises (I can't include sounds in here so you'll have to take my word for it. If you have a cat, just imagine this one)

7. They sleep in the cutest ways.

8. No, really, they do.

9. They are consistently curious.

10. They constantly climb into places they don't belong.

11. They have adorable little tongues that they use to clean themselves.

12. They will probably outlive you. (9 lives)

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
