12 Reasons You Should Love Ed Sheeran

I have this problem where I obsess over things way too easily and lose interest just as quickly. But I've loved Ed Sheeran for as long as I can remember and I don't think that this obsession is ever going away. Here's just a few of the reasons why:

1. His lyrics

In a generation where the phrase "Netflix and Chill" exists, Ed brings romance back into music. I mean c'mon, people, he writes them himself.

2. His glorious red hair

I may be biased because I love red hair, but Ed's is probably why I love red hair so much. It's perfectly messy and unkempt and adorable.

3. His crazy tattoos

They all have something to do with his career, including his new giant Cecil the Lion tattoo on his chest. Which for him, celebrates his sold out show at Wembly Stadium. You can listen to him explain it on Ellen here.

This picture is reason number 3.5 because I mean just look at him in all his shirtless, cowboy hat glory.

4. He wrote "Love Yourself" with Justin Bieber and it's my new jam, tbh.

As if Justin's new album, "Purpose" wasn't already amazing this song just makes it. Listen to it. Seriously. You won't be disappointed.

5. The way he responds to the media

This just proves how he really does not care what people think of him. He does what's right for him and what makes him happy. We can all learn a lesson from that.

On that note...

6. His fashion sense

Flannel on flannels on flannels.. but I'm not complainin'. *heart eyes emoji*

7. His Snapchat stories

This pretty much says it all.

8. His adaptability

He's a musical chameleon. He transitions so easily and somehow makes whatever he does sound amazing.

9. He is just so relatable

His twitter account is GOLD.

10. He loves cats

He devoted an entire music video to getting drunk with his cat bUT LOOK AT THIS AT THIS GIF. JUST LOOK AT THE CUTENESS. Plus also the Grumpy Cat hat.

11. This version of "Wake Me Up" Live at the Bedford

I may have listened to this 1 million times.

12. He sounds just as amazing live as he does on his albums

I have seen Ed in concert twice and he has never disappointed. He uses a loop pedal and an acoustic guitar and that's it. But somehow he makes it work flawlessly.

But, my life would not be the same without his music. His lyrics speak to me in a way other music can't and these are just a few of the reason why I'm such a fan.

Carry on.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
