12 Reasons Why Fall is The Best Season

Fall has always been my second favorite season, until recently. As I have gotten older, I have come to love it more and more. There is so much to do during this time, and it is absolutely beautiful. What is not to love?

1. It's time for Halloween.

I am a kid at heart and love dressing up. I never cared if I were dressing up for some type of event or in a costume. I have always loved it. Halloween is usually full of good people and family, as well. It is a fun bonding experience. Besides, who does not love going to stranger's houses asking them to give you candy?

2. Thanksgiving.

Mmm, food. On top of stuffing your face until you cannot move anymore, you get another chance to spend time with family you do not get to see often. Holidays can be headaches, but food makes it all better.

3. Jeans and hoodies.

Alright, so I know most of you are probably going to disagree with this because most girls go crazy about wearing leggings and yoga pants during this time. I love them as much as the next girl, but I find jeans being much more comfortable and they never go out of style. Big hoodies are also too comfortable to pass up.

4. Pumpkin carvings and pumpkin patches.

After spending an hour or so picking out the perfect pumpkin, you get to carve the perfect picture! You can express your creativity on a pumpkin for your neighbors to see. It is a fun pass-time and a super cute date idea.

5. Pumpkin Spice Lattes and hot chocolate are too good during this time.

This is for all the pumpkin spice-lovers out there. It is not my favorite, but it gets you in the fall mood. So does hot chocolate. Add a few marshmallows on top and it feels like heaven.

6. Corn Mazes.

Who doesn't love getting lost in a field of corn with a few friends? It sounds creepier than it actually is, but they usually have a lot to do. The petting zoos are always fun, which make me feel like a kid again. A lot of us lose that as we are growing up, so why not bring it back?

7. Boots.

Boots are so comfortable and keep your legs warm since it gets chilly during the night. Boots also seem to dress things up a little more, which is always nice. You can be cute and comfortable; the best of both worlds.

8. Scarves.

I love these things. Just like the boots, they can be used to dress and outfit up or down, and they keep your neck warm. The colors and patterns are always a nice touch, too!

10. Fall foliage.

Driving down the road or looking out your window is always a beautiful sight when looking at the trees. Everything is yellow, orange and red. It is breath taking when you see it all.

11. Football and hockey season.

Although football season starts in the summer, the majority of the season takes place in the fall, which is when everyone has their cook outs and parties. It is a great way to come together and hang out. Hockey season, however, does begin in the fall. Both sports are fun to watch, especially when your friends are rooting for a different team than you.

12. Its not too hot or too cold.

The fall can sometimes be confusing when it comes to weather. During the day, it is in the 70's and at night and in the mornings, it is in the 40's. Regardless, during the day it is nice to spend time outdoors and do things without sweating or freezing to death. At night, it is cool enough to sit around a bonfire. Sounds like a win-win situation to me.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
