With a two day break for Thanksgiving and Black Friday, of course.

Some people think the season begins on the 1st of December, and others who know the song believe it's only twelve days. But in my mind, Christmas time begins on November 1st and not a day later. The best season of all deserves the most time we can afford to give it, and if you think I'm just one of those obsessive Christmas freaks, at least check out why I'll be in the spirit long before the day arrives.

1. More holiday food and drink for everyone.

Eggnog, cinnamon, and enough peppermint to knock your fuzzy socks off. Plus, they may be controversial, but you know you go crazy for those red Starbucks cups.

2. Red and green go the best together this time of year.

They look good at all times, but trust me, wearing them in June can pull some weird looks on the street.

3. Everyone seems to be on their best behavior.

Nobody wants to get coal in their stocking. Also a good parenting/babysitting tip for this time of year when children are acting up... they're the most paranoid of all about this.

4. Christmas music = BOMB.

I'm a sucker for a good rendition of 'Baby, It's Cold Outside."

5. The decorations bring spirits up all around.

The lights, the trees, the stockings, the wreaths, the garlands. All of it makes my heart feel cozy and warm like it's at home.

6. Christmas movies have a special place in everyone's heart.

I can 100 percent quote all of "Elf," and I am not ashamed. Everyone needs to know that the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.

7. Family and friends all get to come together.

You may have to answer some tedious base questions (college is great, I'm a nursing major, and no, I don't have a boyfriend), but getting to see those distant relatives you barely connect with feels good on a deep level. Catching up and exchanging stories from the past year or so brings everyone so much closer together, no matter how far the rest of the year keeps you apart.

8. If you're in a relationship, the mistletoe certainly can't hurt.

I can't say Justin Bieber didn't inspire me here. His music video was #goals.

9. Snuggling by the fire with a cup of hot chocolate is in-season.

You can sometimes catch me doing this in the fall, but something about doing it in December just feels so right.

10. Cold weather means you can bring out holiday fashion.

Being from Michigan, the snow always hit the hardest around Christmas time. For us, holiday season meant bringing out boots, scarves, sweaters, and long coats that helped us stay warm and cute all winter long.

11. The cheer in even the coldest of people comes out.

Something about seeing little kids on Santa's lap or Christmas cards with puppies in sweaters on them can seriously melt a heart of stone. Or maybe I'm just a sucker.

12. The world just seems to be a more magical place.

Obviously, the more of these incredible things we can get, the better. Although I know Christmas can't be all year, we should get as much out of the season as possible, because it is truly the most wonderful time of the year.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
