12 Reasons Why Autumn Is the Best Season

Now that it is September, fall is just around the corner. As the days slowly get chillier and the trees become prettier, the reason why autumn is one of the best seasons is quite evident.

1. You can wear sweaters

And leggings, boots, flannels, beanies, scarves and so much more. Fall fashion is the best (and one of the comfiest) fashions.

2. The leaves turn into the prettiest of colors

Whether it's red, orange, yellow, brown or some mix of all four, it is so beautiful to see how the trees change throughout the season.

3. Halloween!

Who doesn't love getting candy for free? Plus, dressing up as one of your favorite super heroes, princess, or some other character is always so fun! When else are you able to do that?

4. Everything is pumpkin and apple flavored

Pumpkin spiced lattes, anyone? Apple cider? Or how about pumpkin or apple pie?

5. You can play in the leaves!

The satisfaction of hearing the dry leaves crunch under your shoe is always the best, too.

6. The weather is just right

Some of you may or may not like the weather, but it is perfect. Not too hot (like the summer) and not too cold (like the winter). It is a happy medium for all!

7. You can drink hot beverages all the time

Tea, coffee, apple cider... hot beverages always taste much better in this crisp season.

8. Carving pumpkins and apple picking

Just two of the many fun things you can do during this time of year.

9. Telling spooky stories

Nothing like bonding over scary ghost stories -- perfect for Halloween season!

10. Fall candles

Hands down, some of the best smelling candles are the fall season ones.

11. Thanksgiving!

Turkey, turkey, and more turkey. And, thanksgiving gives us a break from work and school. It's a win-win.

12. You get to set the clocks back an hour

Hooray for more sleep!

All in all, fall is such an amazing and beautiful season that everyone should enjoy. Whether it's the weather, food, clothes, or fun things you can do, I hope everyone has a great season!

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
