"The end of 2016 is fast approaching." Reading that sentence can cause two different types of reactions. You either felt a sense of relief because 2017 will be a new beginning or you were saddened by the reminder of all those unaccomplished New Year's resolutions.

Now read: "we only have about five weeks left of Autumn." Because you opened this article, I think I can safely assume that reading that sentence just induced you into a melancholic state.

So, before another leaf falls, let's take a look at some of the things that make Autumn the best season of all!

1. The beautiful scenery.

Who needs a filter when you have a fascinating natural background?

2. Animals preparing for hibernation.

Isn't it cute to see these little guys one last time before they go to sleep?

3. November Rain.

Both the song and the actual drizzles.

4. Perfect time to go apple picking.

You're being healthier not only by eating fresh fruit, but also by walking to pick it for yourself.

5. Ideal time to travel.

The weather allows you to go out and explore while most places take-on a magical charm.

6. Endless opportunities for adventurous dates.

No excuses for not thinking outside of the box! In any case, you can also refer to numbers four and five.

7. Seasonal drinks.

Accompanied, of course, by the aesthetically-pleasing pictures you get to take.

8. Pumpkin pie.

...And everything else that involves pumpkins!

9. Autumn-scented candles.

Yes, I know you can burn candles all year long. No, I cannot think of a better scent than that of an Autumn-candle burning.

10. The rush of inspiration.

If you're an Autumn-lover, you definitely know that this season becomes the channel between you and your most creative self!

11. Comfortable, store-mannequin-quality outfits.

No need to look for an excuse to look like you came out of a magazine.

12. Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Day encompasses what makes Autumn so exquisite—a relaxing climate, a room filled with appetizing aromas, a table full of delicious food, and a an orchestra of laughter and nice memories.

Did your favorite part of Autumn make it to the list?

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.
