12 Reasons Why Winter Rocks

Winter is undeniably the best time of the year. Fall and spring are beautiful and summer is fine, but there's nothing quite like winter. However, winter has some haters. It's cold, they say. It's dreary, they say. It's COLD, they say. But hey, haters are always gonna hate and winter just keeps on rolling.

1. No mosquitoes.

Mosquitoes suck and they are extinct in the winter. Thank God.

2. Skiing.

If you CAN ski, unlike me, it is very fun.

3. Sledding.

Unlike skiing, everyone can sled. Even uncoordinated people like me.

4. You have the outside to yourself.

It's freezing so everyone stays indoors. No more annoying people looking at you while you enjoy the outdoors!

5. Chunky sweaters.

They are amazing and everyone should wear them.

6. Outdoor hot tubs.

Ski resorts have some cool places to tub in.

7. Holiday season.

What's not to love about the holiday season?

8. Super Bowl.

Fill your belly with some good snacks and watch some good football.

9. Hot chocolate.

Yummy. Warm. Yummy.

10. You can wear all black and nobody will judge you.

Haters can't hate when it's winter. We're all doing it now.

11. Major travel deals.

You can't get deals to go to Mexico in the summer!

12. IT'S SO PRETTY.

It's a freaking winter wonderland. What's not to love?

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
