4. When you over-emphasize that they must have the power to read your mind, because the gift they got you was "exactly what you wanted" (ok, more like exactly what you didn't want)

5. When you experience the beautifully emotional moment when their gift to you truly was exactly what you wanted

6. When you act like the process of getting their gift was no big deal, but really, it cost you an arm and a leg in order to get your hands on such a hot commodity...

7. When you feel bad because you appreciate all of the thought that they put into picking out your gift, but the multicolored sweater just isn't your style...

8. When they honestly tell you that they don't like the gift that you gave them

9. When you don't know how to react when you open gifts so you just

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
