1. That moment your doctor tells you you're finished growing.


I believe I finished growing in middle school, so everyone had growth spurts in high school while I was still at my middle school height.

2. Shopping for any clothes is the ultimate struggle.


3. Being used as an arm rest by most of your friends.


Almost every day I get used as an armrest and everyone thinks it is comical. Newsflash: it's not.

4. The thing you need is always on the top shelf.

Almost every item I need ends up being on the top shelf.

5. Hardly being able to stand in the 5-foot section of the pool.


I can hardly stand in this area unless I'm on my tippy toes.

6. Looking like a 12-year-old when you're 18.


"How old are you? Are you old enough to be doing that? Where are your parents?" I'M AN ADULT.

7. When you stand up without shoes and one of your friends says, "Oh my god you're short."


8. The sun visor in the car does nothing unless you're really close to it or you can adjust the seat to rise.

I request sun visors that are useful to people under 5'7.

9. Being lifted when you get hugs.


10. Having to hang over a top load washer to reach the articles in the bottom.


This is a struggle because it isn't hard to put stuff in to the washer, it's just hard to get stuff out.

11. When a taller person sits in front of you at a movie theatre.


12. People try to squat a little bit to be your height.
