College has brought me a lot of things and changed a lot for me. I could say the things I miss the most about home are my big queen-sized bed or seeing my siblings everyday but another huge thing that used to be a part of my daily life is my parents handing down pieces of advice. Their words always got me through the days, picked me up when I was down and helped me achieve so much. Huge thank you to them.
However, these come from all different sources, hopefully some of them help you out or make you laugh. Keep striving to do your very best and never give up!
1) Don’t be afraid of things of that might scare you, because it can only go two ways. 1) you could’ve tried and it didn’t turn out the way you planned or 2) you’ll realize you had nothing to fear.
2) Stop trying to force things that aren’t meant to work. You waste a lot less time doing dumb sh*t that won’t get you anywhere.
3) What’s meant to be, will be.
4) What’s meant for you won’t pass you by.
5) To not give up when you want to the most.
6) Don’t light yourself on fire trying to brighten someone else’s existence.
7) Life is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you’re gonna get.
8) Always be moving forwards never backwards.
9) Don’t go out with him he is an a**hole
10) An old cowboy once said “Be careful of’m. Women are like honey. They’re sweet, but you can never get’m off your hands.”
11) It’s okay to live a life that others don’t understand.
12) Don’t put your hands where you can’t see them.
My personal advice to you all is to embrace who you are, go after what you want and everything that you want will come to you.
