When I was growing up, I always said I'd never be in a long distance relationship. At the time, that was incredibly ironic because I was in a long distance friendship for five years with my current boyfriend, before we started dating. After talking about it with my guy and our friends who are also in long distance relationships, we decided that there are definitely perks to this strange situation that we somehow make the best of.

1. Not having to shave your legs everyday.

2. Getting to steal all the covers on the bed.

3. Not having to listen to your special someone snore.

4. Choosing the radio station in the car.

5. Not having to wear makeup everyday.

6. And not having to make sure you look cute and put together at all times.

7. Saving tons of money on dinners out together.

8. Never having to hear your friends say, "You're always with your boyfriend."

9. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder," and all that jazz.

10. It's hard to fight about much when you're not together all the time.

11. Counting down the days until you see each other keeps your math skills sharp.

12. Plenty of alone time.

But, who am I kidding? Come home.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer.
