12 Movies, Albums, and TV Shows To Look Forward To This Year

It goes without saying that a new year brings new possibilities for virtually everything. This year is bringing ample new media, with potential blockbuster movies and chart-topping albums, among others, on their way. From Marvel Studios to Taylor Swift, here's just a few of the media being released this year.

1. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

This sequel hits theaters May 5, so it's a perfect treat for the end of the academic year.

2. Nicki Minaj's untitled album

There's no word on its specific release date, but with her last album having been released in 2014, we're all ready for some new verses from the Queen of Rap.

3. Spider-Man: Homecoming

Fans first got a taste of Tom Holland as the new Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, but this year he's starring in his own film that debuts on July 7.

4. Taylor Swift's untitled album

Like Nicki Minaj before her, Taylor Swift has also promised an album this year with no specific release date. However, it's much anticipated after the overwhelming success of her last studio album, 1989.

5. Pitch Perfect 3

Pitch Perfect helped bring a cappella into mainstream media, alongside Pentatonix, that is, and the saga continues this winter, with Pitch Perfect 3 wrapping up the year with its release on December 22.

6. Stranger Things, season two

I'll just leave this here.

7. A.Y.F.

Bebe Rexha's first studio album, All Your Fault, abbreviated as A.Y.F., was set for release in fall 2016 but got pushed back to 2017. It's unclear when the album is being released, but there's no doubt that it will be successful as the singer has starred in David Guetta's Hey Mama, G-Eazy's Me, Myself & I, and Martin Garrix's In the Name of Love, among songs of her own, such as I Got You and No Broken Hearts, which features Nicki Minaj.

8. Thor: Ragnarok

The third film in the Thor series, this film debuts on November 3.

9. Fifty Shades Darker

This steamy sequel is to be released on February 10.

10. Star Wars: Episode VIII

Like Pitch Perfect 3, this second installment in the newest Star Wars trilogy is rounding out the year with its release in December, being released on the 15.

11. Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman is D.C.'s next film following 2016's smash hit Suicide Squad. This film debuts on June 2.

12. Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast is Disney's much anticipated live-action film following the likes of Cinderella and Maleficent before it. It's due for release on March 17.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair.
