12 Movie Quotes Every Disney Lover Knows
Zimbio

If you're a Disney junkie like me, then nothing excites you more than seeing the castle come onto the screen as the grand overture plays before the start of a Disney film. These are movies that we have grown up with. They have characters we love fondly even as grown ups, and each time Disney releases a new movie the small child inside of you claps in excitement. The magic of those movies produced some iconic lines that you instantly can remember, quote and know who said them in which film.

1. "To infinity and beyond." - "Toy Story"

Who doesn't smile when they remember Woody and Buzz, all of their adventures, and their love for Andy that always led them home? "Toy Story 3" was the culmination of all of us growing up.

2. “Ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten.” – "Lilo & Stitch"

The troublemaking little blue alien, the Hawaiin roller coaster ride and the quote that never fails to make you tear up and want to hug someone.

3. “I’m a damsel, I’m in distress, I can handle this. Have a nice day.” – "Hercules"

Megara is the first Disney girl to tell it straight up. Brains and beauty, sass and smarts.

4. "Just keep swimming." – "Finding Nemo"

When a little blue amnesiac fish provides motivation not only for Marlin, but for anyone who needs a little boost of positivity when they're going through a rough patch.

5. "Hakuna matata." – "The Lion King"

If you didn't start singing the rest of the song as soon as you read this, you're lying.

6. "A dream is a wish your heart makes." – "Cinderella"

One of the original inspirational Disney movie quotes to remind us to never give up on the dreams we want to come true.

7. "Never grow up." – "Peter Pan"

So you're a 20-something Disney fan. Embrace it, for always having a child-like spirit can be a wonderful thing.

8. "Why is the rum always gone?" – "Pirates of the Caribbean"

Because Jack Sparrow.

9. "You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." – "Winnie the Pooh"

Another brilliant example of Disney writing for children, but profoundly impacting you as an adult.

10. "The human world, it's a mess." – "The Little Mermaid"

Even the singing crab knows the world can't walways be a perfect place, but that's OK.

11. "Only true love can mend a frozen heart." – "Frozen"

True love doesn't have to include a prince – the power of family love is just a strong.

12. "You will always be my greatest adventure." – "Up"

The eight minute love story that ripped your heart out and really is #relationshipgoals.

The beautiful thing about Disney and its films is they actually seem to be getting better with age — like fine wine — providing us with happy memories and a few hours of magic to help us remember this big bad world isn't as bad as it seems.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
