Music is and always will be something that everyone can enjoy. There are songs for every single occasion weddings, birthdays, breakups, anniversaires, road trips, and so much more. One of my favorite times to listen to music is when I'm feeling down. Either there's something big coming up and I feel unprepared, or I just need a mood booster. I've compiled a list of all my favorite motivational songs that help me get pumped up and ready for whatever the day has to bring. I hope you'll enjoy these just as much as I do!

1. Carry on by fun.

This is a great song for anyone feeling like they can't reach a certain goal. Give it a listen and push past those thoughts!

2. Could Have Been Me by The Struts

This song always gets me in a great mood, and makes me feel that even if something isn't going as planned you will learn from it. It will easily leave you feeling like you want to go out and live your life rather than be left behind.

3. Still Breathing by Green Day

Still Breathing is a song for anyone who is struggling and feels like they can't move on. If you're still breathing you can still pull yourself up and out and you will survive.

4. I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor

You really can't go wrong with this one. You can and will over come that break up, and trust me he or she is not worth it! You will survive!

5. On Top Of The World by Imagine Dragons

This song is such a sweet melody. It shows that hard work can pay off and you can make the journey. You will climb that mountain and succeed and you, too, can reach the top of the world!

6. Move Along by The All-American Rejects

This song will always be my go-to for motivation. Not only is it catchy, but it really gives you that feeling that you can move no matter what life throws at you just keep moving along.

7. If You're Going Through Hell by Rodney Atkins

This is for all the people who have already been or are currently stuck in hell. Keep going, you can come out and be happy. Don't get stuck there, push forward you can make it through.

8. Dare You To Move by Switchfoot

This song is one of my all time favorites. It's a song you can listen to and it can really touch you, especially if you gotten to an extremely low place in your life. It's daring you to move, daring you to get up and do something. If no one in your life is there to give you the push you need, this song will definitely make you feel like you can.

9. We Are The Champions by Queen

Another upbeat great song. This song is perfect for any sports teams, or just about anyone going through something that has an end. You may be so close and just need one last push to the end and this song can help you reach it. It will motivate you to keep fighting to the end, you can do it!

10. Eye Of The Tiger by Survivor

Eye Of The Tiger is a classic motivational song. When you have reached your last straw, when you are facing the eye of the tiger. You have yourself and your will to survive, just that in itself should be enough to help anyone going through a difficult time.

11. Live Like We're Dying by Kris Allen

If any song makes you feel like you should get up and make something of yourself, this song is it. It literally narrows down how many seconds we have each day and really makes you reconsider if you're living your life to the fullest. If you aren't it will easily get you up and doing something you may have never thought you would do.

12. Don't Stop Me Now by Queen

Lastly, my all time favorite song to get me motivated is Don't Stop Me Now by Queen. This song is upbeat, energetic, fast paced and everything some could want in a song to get them pumped up for anything. Whether you need some motivation for a test, a big game, an interview, just about anything life throws at you this song can help you power through. It will make you feel confident and without a doubt boost your mood.

I can only hope you found at least one song to help you through whatever struggle you're facing right now. I hope you can achieve whatever you're trying to achieve, reach whatever goal you're aiming for, and become the person you're aspiring to become. Maybe, just maybe one or more of these songs will help you there along the way.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
