If you're anything like me, you love a good Netflix series with cute characters, great story lines and that pulls on your heartstrings in all the right ways. And "Jane the Virgin" does that, and so much more. There are so many storylines that intertwine with each other in the best way, and create this awesome journey with Jane and her family and loved ones (and not so loved ones). The show took me through a lot of emotional roller coasters, and here are just a few reasons why (p.s. there's spoilers in here!!).

1. The Very First Episode:

Dude, how's this for a pilot: she finds out she's been artificially inseminated... ON ACCIDENT. Who does that? Who makes that kind of mistake? Oh, how the tables will turn and truths be revealed.

2. When Jane Kisses Her Baby Daddy:

This would be super cute in a real life scenario: the mom and dad of a recently impregnated couple. BUT, Jane is in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend Michael, heck, they're ENGAGED. But here goes Jane, making this sticky situation even messier.

3. When Mateo Was Born:

Babies. So cute people! This moment is so great because the reason this crazy situation was even created materializes in front of them, and they all come together to love the greatest little medical mistake ever.

4. When Michael Takes Her Back:

That's love my friends. Jane went on an entirely new path with Rafael, considered moving in with him and starting a life with him for the sake of their baby (which shouldn't have even happened, mind you), and there Michael was, waiting for her because he knew that she was his happily ever after. What? No, I'm not crying, you are.

5. When Britney Spears Randomly Showed Up:

I'm not sure why this was a thing, but it was. This was life changing because you're all caught up in the Rafael-Jane-Michael love triangle, little Mateo, Rogelio and Xo, and them BAM Britney Spears appears. I was kind of shook.

6. When Jane And Michael FINALLY Get Married:

YES, FINALLY! This is the moment I feel like all of us were waiting for. After literally ever turn and detour the plot could take, we finally reach the best moment of the entire series: the wedding! Ugh, it was so perfect. Everything about it. Thank you, "Jane The Virgin" writers, for finally giving us this wedding.

7. Right When Everything Was Perfect...:

Yep, Michael gets shot. On his wedding night, right when Jane was about to actually lose her virginity. Another spoiler, he gets shot right in the chest. And even worse, this was the end of season 2.

8. But Wait He Recovers It's OK:

All right, we're OK, everything's fine. Michael has surgery, he recovers, all is well. For now. Whew, that was a close one my fellow Virginatics. This is such a huge reminder that we're not in control of everything in life. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. So just take a second and let your emotional investment in this show remind you of this.

9. But Ultimately...

Michael does end up dying, several months later, from high blood pressure. This episode took every ounce of emotion from me. But, Michael did say he would love Jane until his dying breath. When you become so emotionally invested in a show, and follow a relationship to the very end, you experience the same kind of pain that Jane does. And yes, I am very much crying right now. Cherish your loved ones, friends. Because life is messy, unpredictable and sometimes harsher than you could have ever imagined.

10. When Things Finally Start To Get Better:

A couple years later, things finally come together for Jane. She gets a book deal after finishing her novel, and Mateo is growing up to be a great young man (despite his rainy days, i.e. his discipline issues). Yes, you go Jane! Life sucks sometimes, but like you said, "life is full of tough moments, you have to fight for what you want." Wow, Jane is such an inspiration, even though she's a character on a TV show. The power of media, people.

11. When Jane Starts To Date Again:

Wow. So many mixed emotions on this one. What about Michael? But also, what about Jane's happiness? Fabian is a great dude, and Jane deserves happiness now more than ever. This is such a great reminder that even life is so freaking messy, it still goes on, with or without you. So you just gotta do it. So make the most of it friends.

12. When Jane Hears From Michael One Last Time:

"...and never doubt, that all I want is for you to be happy, forever and always".

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
