12 Lyrics To Prove That Zac Brown Band Is The Best

We all have our go-to artist when it comes to specific moments in our lives- a musician or group of musicians who can make you feel so much more in important times, just in the span of a 3 minute song.

Mine happens to be Zac Brown Band.

The country based band, ZBB, hits every different angle of life. ZBB is the artist you turn to when you’re driving down an old dirt road and slowing your crazy world down.

ZBB has a way of making you feel proud to be an American when “Chicken Fried” plays on your playlist. And just by listening to “Knee Deep”, you’re able to feel a little bit of paradise in the midst of a chaotic day. And then when you feel like life isn’t being easy on you, there’s always the song “Let It Go” to remind you there are some things you can’t change. And that’s only to name a few of their great hits.

Let’s face it, ZBB is the best. Not only do the have rhythm and heart, they’ll bring you the comfort you need and it’s found in their lyrics. Don’t believe me?

Here’s a list of ZBB lyrics that are sure to be your anthem at any given time in life:

1. When life just couldn’t be any better...

“Not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand. Life is good today”- Toes

2. When you make the most of your days...

“No we don't have a lot of money, all we need is love. We're free as we'll ever be.”- Free

3. When you’re thankful for our troops...

“I thank god for my life and for the stars and stripes. May freedom forever fly, let it ring. Salute the ones who died, the ones that give their lives, so we don't have to sacrifice all the things we love.”- Chicken Fried

4. When you need to learn to let it go...

“And know you're not the only ship out on the ocean. Save your strength for things that you can change, forgive the ones you can't. You gotta let 'em go.”- Let It Go

5. When you need to slow your life down...

“And if you're too busy talkin', you're not busy listenin' to hear what the land has to say. Quiet your mind.”- Quiet Your Mind

6. When your relationship is falling apart...

“But I would trade a thousand Babylons to be in her arms tomorrow. Oh, but like the tide her love has come and gone and it's time for me to go.”- Goodbye In Her Eyes

7. When you’re going through a break-up...

“She said you're ramblin' man. You ain't ever gonna change. You gotta gypsy soul to blame and you were born for leavin'.”- Colder Weather

8. When you need some courage...

“You might fall down on your face, roll the dice and have some faith.”- As She’s Walking Away

9. When you need support and comfort...

“Sweetheart I've been livin in a fantasy. But one day Lightning will strike and my bark will lose it's bite, but don't' give up on me.”- Sweet Annie

10. When you need a feel good song...

“You can jump right in. Let the music pull you in. You can jump right in, oh and lose yourself again.”- Jump Right In

11. When you’re proud of your hometown...

“Here in a small town where it feels like home. I got everything I need and nothing that I don’t.”- Homegrown

12. When you’re falling head over heels for someone...

“Every little smile, every single touch reminds me just how much it all makes loving you easy.” – Loving You Easy

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
