Disney is unmistakably one of the biggest companies in the world. The stories they have created have made great impacts throughout the world. Who doesn't know the story of Cinderella or The Little Mermaid? The princess stories are great, but some of Disney's other movies have just as many important lessons to teach us. Lilo and Stitch is one of those movies that we can learn so much from.
1. Family is important.
The bond a family has can be unbreakable. Family is undoubtedly this movie's most important lesson.
2. All families fight.
All families fight, and that's okay.
3. Love people for what's on the inside.
Well all have our own characteristics that make us quirky and unique. Love everyone for these qualities.
4. Cannibalism is wrong.
Every Thursday (Sandwich Day), Lilo takes Pudge ,the fish, a peanut butter sandwich, but they were all out of peanut butter, so Lilo asked her sister what to give him, and she said, "Tuna." Do you know what Tuna is!? It's fish!! Oh yeah, by the way, Pudge controls the weather.
5. Look out for those who matter.![]()
Protect the people that matter most, and they'll return the favor.
6. Go with your gut.
Sometimes your gut can be the best voice of reason, like when Lilo's gut told her to pick out the strange "dog" versus the others.7. When you're depressed, listen to Elvis.
Depressed? Listen to the King.
8. Know who your true friends are.
Find out who your real friends are. Those are the people who will make every day worth it.
9. Sometimes you need a little responsibility to learn responsibility.
Sometimes, all it takes to become responsible, is a little responsibility. Lilo starts out irresponsible and troubled, but once she gains some responsibility (aka our little blue friend), she starts to mature and act more responsible.10. A tissue isn't always necessary.
If you tell me you don't occasionally pick your nose, you're a liar!
11. If your friends betray you, try voodoo.
Friends betray you? Need to punish them? Try Voodoo today!12. Ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.
This one doesn't even need an explanation.
