12 Most Laughable Moments Of The 2016 Presidential Race

The 2016 race to see who will be in the running for president later this year has been anything but boring. There have been more controversial statements made by each party than should ever be made, and each candidate seems to be trying to up the shock factor of the last. This means that along with those outraging statements made from every party, there have been some pretty laughable moments too. A lot of these moments are made to try and appeal to the younger voters, but really they just produce a lot of laughs. So here are the 12 most laughable moments of this presidential race.

1. Hillary Clinton “dabbing” on Ellen

We all know that Hillary is hard at work on appealing to her younger voters, staying on trend with everything that is “hip.”

2. Jebbush.com Redirecting to Donald Trump’s website

While this wasn’t actually done by Trump, it was definitely a new way to get support.

3. Jeb Bush’s Black Hand Advertisement

A photoshopped picture of Jeb Bush that went out to Iowa voters shows the Republican candidate with a suspiciously black hand. It was later revealed that it was a mistake of photoshop, as the picture Bush was originally photoshopped from had that hand in shadow. Paul Lindsay tweeted the original photo, and admitted that it was a bad mistake. It really made the Iowa voters go “Why Jeb?”

4. Bernie Sanders Dancing to Hotline Bling

I think between the two Democrat candidates, Bernie now takes the cake when it attempting to appeal to young voters. Watch the whole video here (it’s gold).

5. Rand Paul Flipping the Bird

The Republican candidate was obviously upset that he was “demoted” from participating in the GOP debate. In an interview with ABC, he openly displayed his middle finger directed at the media.

6. Jeb Bush’s Pocket Turtles

This candidate likes to keep little toy turtles in his pocket to give out to the public. Bush claims it’s a reference to his statement that he is a “joyful turtle” when it comes to this race. This presentation of the turtle was followed by Bush stating: “Slow and steady wins the race.”

7. The Conspiracy that Ted Cruz is the Zodiac Killer

Apparently there are a bunch of people who think that this candidate is actually the infamous serial killer from the last 1960s, even though Cruz was born in 1970.

8. “Drafting” Mitt Romney into the Republican Campaign

Republican voters have basically lost faith in all of their potential candidates, so they’re rallying to have him run as the Republican candidate in this race. Over 190,000 people are already supporting the idea.

9. Ben Carson’s Rap Ad

This one speaks for itself. Listen to it here.

10. John Kasich making a bacon snapchat filter

Again, another attempt at candidates trying to reach out to their younger voters. Why bacon? A Kasich spokesperson said “Budget pork isn’t our taste but who doesn’t love bacon and, of course, who doesn’t love Snapchat?”

11. Loser.com redirecting to Donald Trump’s Wikipedia page

This began after Trump came in second at the Iowa caucus. It’s a domain name that has redirected to many different wikipedia pages, and is known as a trolling site. Guess it’s his turn to be called the loser.

12. Jeb Bush asking for people to clap

This one’s sad, but at the same time funny. Poor guy.

While these moments are funny, there’s still plenty of time for candidates to continue to embarrass themselves. It’ll be amazing to see what lengths the final party candidates will do to get their votes.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
