12 Last Minute Halloween Costumes

Since we're only a week away from the big day, it's time to start scrambling.

We're less than two weeks away from Halloween and it's time for people to start scrambling for a last minute costume. If you're like me, you probably don't want to spend an arm and a leg on some expensive thing you will never use again. That's why I'm always looking for creative costume ideas that I can make out of things I either own already or could wear again. Here are a few options for anyone that's really in a pinch:

1. Barney Stinson

Though HIMYM ended a few years ago there are still tons of people who watched it and are currently catching up on Netflix who will get the reference. Just wear your nicest suits and refer to everything as legendary for the night.

2. Robin Sparkles

Keeping with the HIMYM theme, here is an option for girls to do. With multiple Robin Sparkles episodes there are a few different outfits to pick from, most of which can be from items you find in your closet. Just make sure to rock colorful accessories, big hair, and lots of denim.

3. Kim Possible

This is an old one but it's pretty simple (black turtleneck and green cargo pants) and if done right then you're sure to have lots of compliments. Bonus points for getting a Ron Stoppable to dress up with you.

4. Anyone Involved in the 2016 Election

Options include Donald Trump (suit and bad wig), Hillary Clinton (pantsuit), and their respective families (looking for an excuse to look your best that night, go as Ivanka!)

5. Characters from AHS Season 6

Another timely choice and while the season isn't over yet there are lots of options already to pick from. The easy options would be Matt and Shelby, basically you just wear plan clothes. Step it up a little bit and be Sarah Paulson's character (long white lace gown) or Evan Peter's (red hair is key) or go all out and cover yourself in fake blood and don a weird accent to play the infamous butcher.

6. Mean Girls

Though this is a less timely choice, it's a classic and is perfect for a group of three or four girls and gives you many different easy options to pick from. Either go with all pink, their Christmas themed outfits, or cut two wholes into whatever shirt you like. Or in classic Mean Girl fashion, just add animal ears to any skimpy outfit.

7. Pokémon Go player

Just rock a simple outfit, preferably with some sort of Pokémon or Pikachu gear (hats and shirts should be easy to find) and constantly look like you're in a rush or looking at your phone.

8. Simple Disney Princesses

Also good for a group of girls, just pick your favorite Disney Princess and opt for a simplified version of it. Simple colored dresses and hair accessories will be the best options for this.

9. Angel/ Devil

This one will likely require a trip to your local Halloween store for a head piece, but other than that you either need a red or white dress and you're ready to go.

10. Sandy from Grease

All you need for this one is an all black outfit, red lipstick, and an attitude. A Danny is optional.

11. The Cast of Ghostbusters, in their Day Clothes

While it's hard to find the classic Ghostbusters costumes without shelling out some money for it, a group of four girls could easily find their various business casual outfits at a thrift shop. And for the guys, Kevin would make a pretty easy choice, just make sure to pop the lense out of your glasses before you go.

12. Damn Daniel

2016 had plenty of internet freakouts over memes (look some of these up for costume inspiration too!) but one of the most popular was the Damn Daniel. This is probably the easiest costume you can do as all you need is a pair of white vans.

These are just a few suggestions but there are plenty more ideas out there. Either way just make sure to have a safe and fun Halloween!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
