Les Parapluies de Cherbourg

Whether you'll be spending your Valentine's Day alone, with friends or significant others, sometimes the perfect way to spend it is with a really good, but melancholic movie. Look no further. Here are 12 of the most heart-wrenching one liners just in time for Valentine's Day.

1. High School Musical 3

When the Wildcats graduated in "High School Musical 3" a part of our childhood ended. Troy delivers the most nostalgia-filled graduation speech of all time.

"Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat!"

2. Gossip Girl

Dan tells Serena all of the reasons he loves her in this season one episode of Gossip Girl and it hits us right in the heart. #TeamDan

"I love you because..."

3. Gilmore Girls

This scene from "Gilmore Girls" starts out as a joke but leaves us in tears. Luke and Lorelai forever.

4. The Hunger Games

Rue's death is possibly the saddest moment in this depressing, dystopian series.

"Can you stay?"

5. Les Parapluies de Cherbourg

This isn't exactly a one-liner, but this melancholic, vintage French musical has us in tears all the same.

6. Cinderella

Cinderella's mother leaves her daughter with this beautiful piece of wisdom before her illness takes her life.

"Have courage and be kind."

7. Les Miserables

This film is filled with heart-wrenching moments, but there's something especially crushing watching Eponine sing "On My Own" as she reminds us how much it sucks to be stuck in the friend-zone.

"And I know it's only in my mind, that I'm talking to myself and not him."

8. Titanic

It was hard to narrow it down to just one line from this iconic film, so we left it between these two. Also, try to make it through the "My Heart Will Go On" montage below.

"I'll never let go, Jack"

"A woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets. But now you know there was a man named Jack Dawson and that he saved me... in every way that a person can be saved. I don't even have a picture of him. He exists now... only in my memory."

9. The Last Song

Miley Cyrus' character, Ronnie, learns that her dad is dying of cancer in a hospital room.

"I love you, Daddy."

10. The Notebook

This scene is beautiful and tragic all at once.

Allie: Do you think our love, can take us away together?
Duke: I think our love can do anything we want it to.
Allie: I love you.
Duke: I love you, Allie.
Allie: Good night.
Duke: Good night. I'll be seeing you.

11. Breakfast At Tiffany's

This line from "Breakfast At Tiffany's" says a lot about the walls we build around ourselves.

"You call yourself a free spirit, a "wild thing," and you're terrified somebody's gonna stick you in a cage. Well baby, you're already in that cage. You built it yourself..."

12. A Cinderella Story

After Sam is humiliated at the pep rally, she decides to tell Austin how it really is and our hearts hurt.

"Waiting for you is like waiting for rain in this drought. Useless and disappointing."

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
