We live in a time period where technology is basically essential in order to navigate through life. Little kids are seen with phones and iPads in their hands, occupied by a game or video while their parents happily do their own thing. Students hand in their homework assignments online. Workers deposit their checks via mobile banking. We relive our memories through countless pictures and videos. But what happens when you stay away from something so common, whether it's for a day, week, or month?
1. You get really bored.
No really, you seriously don’t know what to do.
2. You think a lot.
I mean, what else are you supposed to do if you have nothing to do?
3. You crave social media.
You miss Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and iMessage.
4. You constantly pat your pockets to check if your phone is there.
But then you remember that you’re phone-less.
5. You sleep a lot more.
It's what happens when you're bored, right?
6. You also read a lot more.
If you do this, you must be really bored.
7. You also go outside more.
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
8. You start noticing everything -- and I mean everything.
Like that little paint chip on the wall shaped like a bunny, or the smiley face-shaped mole on your stomach.
9. You find yourself interacting with a lot more people.
Oh hey, you're finally friends with your roommate.
10. You actually laugh out loud.
It’s a lot better than typing out “LOL” on a tiny screen while blowing more air out of your nose than usual.
11. You feel brighter.
I don’t mean “smart” bright. I don’t know how to describe it, but you just feel lighter and more free. You feel lively.
