12 Best Hallmark Christmas Movies to Get You Into The Christmas Spirit

One of the best ways to get into the Christmas spirit is to cuddle up in front of the TV with your family & friends and watch cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies. Here's 12 of the best Hallmark Christmas movies so you have one to watch each night leading up to Christmas.

1. The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

This classic Hallmark Christmas Movie stars Henry Winkler, Brooke Burns, and Warren Christie. The movie follows the events that occur after Jen's Uncle Ralph brings a stranger he met in the airport (who's plans to travel to Denver get ruined by a snow storm) to her house to spend the holidays with them. This movie is really well done and never fails to get me into the Christmas spirit. Although it's cheesy, it's not too cheesy. Plus it has The Fonz in it, so of course its going to be amazing!

2. A Royal Christmas

A Royal Christmas stars Lacey Chabert, Stephen Hagan, and Jane Seymour. Like honestly this is a really cute movie. It follows Emily as she travels to Leo's home to spend their first Christmas together. But PLOT TWIST, Leo is actually a prince and his mom ain't too happy that he's dating a commoner. This movie has it all: romance! royalty! and holiday cheer! In the words of Gretchen Weiners, this movie is so fetch!

3. Hitched For The Holidays

This great movie stars Joey Lawrence and Emily Hampshire as their characters Rob and Julie agree to pretend to date during the Christmas/Hanukah season to avoid being chastised by their families for once again being single and not being able to stay in a committed relationship. Through a series of typical Hallmark events, Rob and Julie realize that their fake feelings for one another might not be so fake after all.

4. A Princess For Christmas

A Princess For Christmas stars Katie McGrath as Jules who becomes the guardian of her niece and nephew after their parents pass away. Between being thrown into parenthood, nannies who won't stick around, and losing her job, Jules doesn't know how much more she can take. When there's a mysterious knock at her door one night with an invitation from the kids estranged grandfather, The Duke of Castlebury Hall, to spend Christmas with him, Jules doesn't know whether or not to except. She eventually excepts and travels to Castlebury Hall with the children. There she meets Ashton, the brother of her sister's husband, and finds herself falling in love. A very cute movie great for a family movie night.

5. Matchmaker Santa

Matchmaker Santa stars our favorite Mean Girl, Lacey Chabert as Melanie and Thad Luckinbill as Justin, her longterm boyfriend and Adam Mayfield as Dean, Justin's best friend. Justin invites Melanie to spend christmas with him and to meet his family, she is very excited. However, when a circumstances due to a certain old man named Chris arise that strand Melanie and Dean together, is it possible that they'll realize their hidden feelings for one another and that they're meant to be?

6. Northpole: Open For Christmas

When Mackenzie, Lori Loughlin, inherits her aunt's majestic-turned-rundown hotel she decides the smartest thing to do is fix it up and sell it before christmas. But dealing with guests and fixing up the hotel at the same time appears to be too much for Mackenzie to handle on her own. So Santa sends Clementine and a group of elfs on a special mission to help Mackenzie fix up the hotel and rediscover the true meaning of Christmas. If you can't get enough of Clementine and her elf antics check out the first movie in the series: Northpole.

7. On The Twelfth Day of Christmas

This cute movie stars Brooke Nevin as Maggie and Robin Dunne as Mitch. When Maggie learns that Mitch, her long time crush who just recently moved to town, has lost his love for Christmas she devises a plan to restore his faith in Christmas and give him the best Christmas of his life just like he had done for her all those years ago. Maggie decides to be his Secret Santa leaving him a gift for 12 days in a row that all ask him to do a fun Christmas activity to get him into the holiday spirit. Another great holiday movie that the whole family will love.

8. A Very Merry Mix Up

Alicia Witt who plays Alice is very excited to meet her future in-laws but is nervous because she will be arriving before her fiancé Will Mitchum. Her nerves grow even more when the airport loses her luggage and her phone dies leaving her with no way of getting in contact with Will's family. As luck would have it she runs into Matt Mitchum (Mark Wiebe) at baggage claim who offers to take her to his parents house. Alice then spends time getting to know and falling in love with the loving Mitchum family. But what if everything is not as it seems?

9. Every Christmas Has A Story

When Lori Loughlin stars in a Hallmark movie you know they're going to pull out all the stops for her resulting in a killer movie. This one just premiered in Hallmark's 5 Night Thanksgiving Movie Event. When Kate, a big TV personality, accidentally reveals on-air that she doesn't like Christmas, she must travel to the most Christmas-y town in the US to try and repair her image. Forced to spend the holidays with her producer and ex-boyfriend, Jack, Kate hopes to get through this as quickly as possible. However the magic of this little Christmas town and mystery behind it might just change the way she views Christmas.

10. Christmas Under Wraps

Candace Cameron Bure stars in Christmas Under Wraps as Dr. Lauren Brunell a third year surgery resident who's had her whole life planned out until she doesn't get accepted to the prestigious hospital fellowship she wants. Lauren is then forced to accept a position as head doctor in a small town in Alaska. There she meets Andy who shows her the importance of living life in the moment and enjoying the unexpected. But Andy and his dad are hiding a big secret from Lauren that just might change her mind about this small town.

11. Let It Snow

Another great movie staring Candace Cameron Bure as Stephanie, an executive at Falcon Resorts. After the company acquires family-owned Snow Valley Lodge, Stephanie must spend the week leading up to Christmas at the lodge determining what renovations it needs and forming a proposal to present to her detached father, the owner of Falcon Resorts. Stephanie begins her time at the lodge butting heads with Brady, the former owner's son (who decided not to take over the family business due to creative differences with his father), but ends with romantic feelings. The charm and festiveness of the lodge begins to melt Stephanie's grinch heart and cause her to fall in love with Christmas. As her Christmas Eve deadline is fast approaching Stephanie has a tough choice to make: transform the lodge into a hot winter destination like her father wants or embrace what the Christmas tradition the lodge represents?

12. Christmas Cookie

This new Hallmark movie stars Jill Wagner as Hannah, an executive sent to Cookie Jar to seal the deal and Wes Brown as Jake the factory owner. What Hannah though would be a quick and easy job turns difficult when Jake the owner of Aunt Sally's Christmas Cookie Company refuses to sign the paperwork selling the company unless the factory can stay in Cookie Jar. While trying to negotiate the contract, Hannah might just feel herself falling in love with both Christmas and Jake.

There you go. Now all you need is some festive pajamas, hot cocoa and you're all set!

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
