Welcome, fellow students! Soon you'll embark on your next journey. For some, it will take you only three years, and for others it will be closer to eight. Either way, it will be a fun and interesting adventure you will not soon forget. Once you get adjusted, it will be even better because college is a time where there will be a lot of memories, mistakes, and mishaps. All in all, you'll live and you'll learn. Have fun!

1. Your first lecture.

You have no idea what's going on, but it's totally fine!

2. The first time you accept sleeping through your 8 a.m. lab.

3. The first day back after spring break and your professor expects to pick up just where you left off.

4. Cooking your first meal as a student.

5. Pulling your first all-nighter.

6. The first time your realize the "freshman 15" is a VERY real thing.

7. The first time you see a friend in one of your classes.

Hold on to these friends.

8. The undeniable first time your roommate brings home a "friend" overnight.

There's no coming back after this...

9. Your first party...

10. The first crash after your first all-nighter.

11. The first time you realize everything people have told you about college is actually true.

12. The first time you celebrate being done with finals.

Congratulations, now you can sleep for weeks.

Sleepovers are not a thing. They're just not.

1. You only ask things once.

2. Seriously, you only ask once.

3. When you do muster up the courage to ask your parents for something, you creep around and wait until they’re in a good mood.

4. Before you get that final yes, you have to go through an interview.

5. If you ever got “the eye,” you knew you were screwed.

6. You were always the first to leave your group of friends when hanging out.

7. If you say you will be home at a certain time, you better be home at that time.

8. Seeing a missed call from your parents sends fear and horror through your veins.

9. If relatives are coming over to the house, your room better be clean.

10. You are careful about what jokes you share with your parents.

11. "You’re not an adult until you turn 18! You can do whatever you want then!"

12. If plans change while you’re out, you better text or call.

13. Don’t talk back. Ever.

14. When you’re called by your full name, you’re in deep trouble.

15. Don’t make them call your name twice.

16. Sleepovers are not a thing.

17. Despite all of these things, you know your parents love you.
