Now that all my finals are over, I've finally had some more time for one of my favorite activities: watching Netflix. Over the past few months, the popular video streaming site has put a number of new movies and TV shows on. With so many options, I've picked a few of my favorites.

1. "The Princess Bride"

This feel-good fairy tale is one of my family's favorites. It has enough adventure, romance, and humor to keep everyone entertained.

2. "Black Mirror"

Often compared to a modern day "Twilight Zone," each episode of "Black Mirror" takes us on a worst case scenario with a certain kind of technology. These thrilling episodes are so impactful as viewers realize more often than not that society is not as far from some detrimental inventions as we think.

3. "Big Eyes"

Directed by Tim Burton, this is the true story of painter Margaret Keane who had all her artwork stolen by her husband.

4. "New Girl"

Who wouldn't want to watch a show about adorable Zooey Deschanel moonwalking through life with her three dude roommates? "New Girl" was my go-to show when I was stuck in bed for a week after I got my wisdom teeth out.

5. "Mr. Nobody"

Starting at the end of Nemo's life, we see all the different paths in life he could have gone down. With beautifully bright costumes and sets, "Mr. Nobody" is one of those movies you might have to watch several times before you fully understand just how wonderfully thought out it is.

6. "Parks and Recreation"

Leslie Knope's refusal to be knocked down will make you feel unstoppable as well. This quotable show is sure to bring a smile to your face and tug at some heartstrings.

7. "Amelie"

For a change of pace and something new, I put a foreign language film on here! Follow the sweet Amelie as she shows you how she delights in everyday simple pleasures and ventures across the city to return a photo album to a tall, dark mysterious man.

8. "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt"

Kimmy Schmidt is one of the amazing "mole women!" She has been locked up in an underground bunker for the better part of her life, but now she's out, naive, and ready to take on New York City!

9. "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"

As Jim Carey takes on a more serious role, after a break up, he experiments with new controversial ways of getting his ex off his mind...possibly forever.

10. "Breaking Bad"

Just another retelling of the classic tale of chemistry teacher turned meth dealer....or not so much. With plot twists galore, Walt and Jesse are sure to keep you on your toes.

11. "United States of Tara"

I love the authenticity of this show. It follows a mom as she learns how to live a happy life, even with her dissociative identity disorder.

12. "Orange is the New Black"

Piper Kerman's past catches up with her and sends her to prison, causing her to find out just how firey and tough she really is. A supporting cast of terrific female actors adds depth and helps to show that people incarcerated are much more than just their sentences.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Feeling Lost During Syllabus Week? You're Not Alone!

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
