12 Facts To Get To Know Me

Since this is my first publication, I decided to start off simple with a few facts about myself.

1. I'm a freshman taking online courses only, which I'll get into more in the future. I'm currently working towards my business administration degree. I would love to someday open my own summer camp, which brings me into my next fact.

2. I've been going to the same summer camp for the past 10 years. It's the Eastern Nebraska 4-H Center, and I have grown to call this place my second home.

3. I've lived in the Omaha, Nebraska area my entire life. More specifically, La Vista. But Omaha is more well known when people ask where I'm from.

4. I LOVE the color purple!

5. I have three dogs, and four fish tanks in my house. wo of the tanks belong to my brothers, and then I own two myself. My fur babies never fail to make me smile.

6. I would love to travel the world someday.

7. I was the copy editor for my highschool's yearbook, which is one of the very few things that I miss from those four years.

8. My family is my world. I have amazing parents, and two younger brothers.

9. I lived on campus for a semester, and it was an amazing experience. I had three roommates, who I was fortunate enough to become best friends with.

10. I love antiques and abandoned things. I would love to know the stories behind them all.

11. I love animals, which is why I work at PetSmart. I would love to own a guinea pig, but after reading fact 5, I think you know why I don't.

12. I love all things adventurous, expecially heights. It's on my bucket list to go sky diving and bungee jumping.

Hopefully, this will help to understand who I am, and why I write the things that I will. I'm looking forward to writing for the Odyssey, and can't wait for what's in store for me!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
