The 12 Dates of Christmas

Christmas time is one of the most romantic times of the year. If there's not mistletoe to be found, here are 12 cold weather date ideas to bring you and your significant other closer together this holiday season.

  1. Take a walk to see the Christmas lights
This is an oldie but a goodie. There's not much that's more romantic than taking a walk through the lights.
  2. Play Christmas music and bake your favorite cookies
What's sweeter than baking cookies like when you were a kid? Get the mixers out and break some eggs. But don't forget to taste test.
  3. Build a blanket fort and watch your favorite Christmas movie.
Throw on your favorite pajamas and build the best blanket fort anyone has ever seen. Just make sure that there's popcorn to watch a Christmas movie.
  4. Go to the mall without shopping. People watch and enjoy the holiday atmosphere.
While most people hate the mall around the holidays, and rightfully so, it can be a pretty fun place to be if you're not trying to shop. Get some Cinnabon and walk around the decorated stores watching people rush around while you just relax.
  5. Go ice skating
This might seem like an obvious choice, but it's a winter date classic. Lace up those skates, throw on a scarf, and get gliding with your significant other.
  6. Have a snow day
Just like when you were a kid, wake up early and go play in the snow. Or, if you prefer a late night adventure, have a snowball fight under the moon and streetlights. Go sledding together. Build a snowman. The possibilities are endless.
  7. Go for a carriage ride
This is easier if you live in a city, but a carriage ride through the lights is always romantic. Bundled up, it's a perfect opportunity to cuddle.
  8. Experiment with different ways to make hot chocolate
Try some with peppermint or caramel. Each of you can make a cup for the other and see which one is better.
  9. Decorate the tree together
This is another obvious Christmas-y choice.Have fun stringing the lights and hanging your ornaments.
  10. Volunteer together
If you're looking for something to do, why not give back to the community? Help out at a soup kitchen or take a turn ringing the bells for the Salvation Army. Nothing feels better than helping someone else.
  11. Build a gingerbread house
This goes along the same lines as baking cookies. Put on some Christmas music and decorate your dream house. You know, before you eat it.
  12. Just hang out in front of the fire.
If all else fails, just throw on some pajamas and cuddle up in front of the fire together.

The holiday season is a great time to be with your significant other. Don't let your dates get into a repetitive cycle. Just remember that the most important thing is that you're together during this wonderful time of year.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Syllabus Week As Told By Kourtney Kardashian

Feeling Lost During Syllabus Week? You're Not Alone!

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
