Here are 12 of the craziest internet challenges

The internet has come up with some of the craziest challenges in the past couple of years. Some are dangerous and others are just plain weird. Here is a list of some of the internet’s craziest challenges to laugh at.

1. The Condom Challenge

Back in 2015, people found enjoyment in filling a condom with water and dropping it on their heads.

2. The Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge

In 2015, people stuck their lips in a glass or a bottle and sucked the air out of it. This lead to them having pig puffy lips.

3. The Ice Bucket Challenge

Back in 2014, the ice bucket challenge surfaced where people dumped cold buckets of ice water on them to raise money for ALS.

4. The Cinnamon Challenge

Who could forget 2011 when everyone found enjoyment in choking up a mist of cinnamon. For this challenge you fill a spoon with cinnamon and then you swallow it, seems simple enough?

5. The Salt and Ice Challenge

Back in 2014, it became popular to put salt on one part of your body and then putting ice over top causing a burning sensation.

6. Pepper Challenge

This challenge has been around forever, I’ve endured it when I was a kid. You eat a really hot pepper. Not much else to it than that.

7. The Fire Challenge

Who could forget the time people found enjoyment in setting themselves on fire. This lead to a lot of people who attempted this challenge to have first to second degree burns. This challenge is extremely dangerous and firefighters and police officers even chastised people from doing this challenge.

8. The Backpack Challenge

This challenge has started up recently. The concept is simple. Two rows of people line up with filled backpacks in their hands. One person must run in between these people, trying not to fall as they hurl the backpacks at him.

9. Charlie Charlie Challenge

An internet fad from 2015, people allegedly tried to summon a “Mexican demon” with this challenge. For this challenge people essentially drew a grid on a piece of paper with “yes” or “no” in the boxes. Then you ask “Charlie, Charlie, are you here?” and then the pencil allegedly moves. Freaky.

10. The Mannequin Challenge

Apparently there’s skill involved in remaining frozen. It’s like the adult version of freeze tag, everyone remains frozen while doing a certain action and another person records. This challenge is associated with “Black Beatles” by Rae Sremmurd.

11. The Harlem Shake

Back in 2013, these videos became an internet fad. Starting with one person dancing surrounded by other people not paying attention. When the bass drops, the video cuts to an entire crowd of people doing crazy dances.

12. The Don’t Judge Challenge

This challenge is a hypocritical challenge from 2015 where people would put features on them that are “ugly” like messy hair, teeth gaps, etc, and then they “transform” to them at their best. This challenge is being a little judgmental though for a “Don’t Judge Challenge."

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
