College is all about learning to manage on your own in the easiest way possible. We're in the 21st century. There is no reason why any invention that could possibly make life easier for all of us, does not exist yet. They say that our generation is lazy, that we will be the cause of the destruction of the earth. But what if we put all of our lazy brains together to create things might make our day-to-day lives more manageable?

1. Alarm Clock that shouts your GPA at you until you shut if off.

Because there are few things in life less terrifying.

2. Glow in the dark textbooks.

Now you can pull that all nighter without causing your roommate to throw a tantrum over the status of the light switch.

3. Phone case that doubles as a cupholder.

Okay, so apparently this already exists and I'm unsure as to why I don't have one yet.

4. Yelp... for people.

Ever had a bad experience with someone and felt as though it is your civic duty to warn the rest of the world about that person? Leave a Yelp review!

5. Contact lenses that project your notes.

Sounds like a major violation of academic integrity. I like it.

6. Body pillow that mimics the shape of a loved one.

Sick of being in a long distance relationship and just wanna cuddle with bae? Living away from home and missing mom? Customize a body pillow that is shaped like the one you miss.

7. Scantron Printer.

Save yourself a panic attack and print your own scantron at home. You'll never show up to another final without one again.

8. Campus Doppelganger finder.

Sometimes getting out of bed for that 8am lecture is a physically impossible task. Don't worry. Just log onto your campus doppelganger finder to match you with your true hero. He/she will go to class for you for a small price.

9. Shout rooms for rent on campus.

Just flunk a midterm? Recently concluded that your TA is actually Satan and wanna send her back to hell? Let it out.

10. Insulating lotion.

Sick of going out without sufficient clothing in an attempt to look cute, and ultimately realizing that hypothermia is a thing? This lotion will block any cold sensation on your body.

11. Dry shampoo for clothes.

Yup. It's exactly what it sounds like. No need to dig through your dirty clothes hamper anymore and pretend like you didn't wear the same exact things yesterday.

12. Fu**boy repellent.

I'm gonna leave it to science to figure this one out.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
