1) A Christmas Story
In which Ralphie is all of us.
2) Mickey's A Christmas Carol
Frankly, all the live-action versions of this story are much too creepy for me. The Mickey Mouse version is just as heartwarming, and it has Donald Duck.
3) Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer
If you like a good underdog story, how about a Christmas
4) Home Alone
If Ralphie is all of us, Kevin McAllister is who we all wish we were. Clever, cute, and full of surprises.
5) The Polar Express
For all kids who were in elementary school after this movie came out, this movie brings back fond memories of getting to wear your pajamas to school and drink hot chocolate in class.
6) How The Grinch Stole Christmas
When did The Grinch become so ridiculously relatable?
7) The Santa Clause
This movie was so good they got to make three of them. But nothing beats the original, where Tim Allen's dad-type character has to become Santa because he killed him on accident.
8) Love Actually
While the TV version is more appropriate for all audiences, this movie captures a number of love (and heartbreak) stories to make you cry, and smile, and laugh until it hurts. All while commemorating may of our favorite holiday.
Bonus Points; British accents and baby Thomas Sangster
9) Christmas with The Kranks
This familial disaster might make you feel better about getting together with your own at the holidays.
10) It's A Wonderful Life
You'll cry sad tears, and then happy ones, all in the spirit of Christmas.
11) The Family Stone
Diane Keaton uses sign language and makes inappropriate jokes about her daughter's sex life. Need I say more?
12) Elf
Buddy is just doing his best to be cheerful at Christmas, while simultaneously being hilariously out of touch with the real world.
