1. The Crown

It won some Golden Globes, but that still didn't convince me that it was going to be a great show. Then my mom made me watch and I feel in love. It has love, drama, and history. It wraps you up in the history of Queen Elizabeth II and her reign. Unfortunately there is only one season so far, but don't worry there will be at least 4 more seasons!

2. The Bletchley Circle

The Bletchley Circle takes you back to the 1950's and focuses on the lives of 4 women who had been code breakers during the war. After the war these ladies use their code breaker skills to solve murder cases. It brings you in with the mystery but keeps you coming back with the ladies great personalities and abilities.

3. The X-Files

If you haven't heard of the X-Files by now then you must have been living under a rock for the past 14 years. This show is about all of the FBI cases that come with a mysterious and extraterrestrial air. From aliens to monsters you can only imagine, Mulder & Scully chase after them. Unfortunately no one believes half the things that they stay but no matter what they always figure out the mystery.

4. Arrow

Arrow is basically a different name for a TV show about Batman. A guy goes to a far away place and learns impressive skills and strength from a master and then returns home to help save his city. There are differences of course, like the hero uses arrows to get his message across. The TV show is all the rage for anyone who likes superhero type shows.

5. Once Upon A Time

This is a modern day take on ancient fairytales. According to this series all the stories and places told in fairytales are real. There is also a curse, evil witch, and the savior that makes things quite interesting. It's a great show that has fantastic reoccurring characters but the show also brings in 'guest stories' so you can see your favorite fairytale character from Elphaba to Anna from Frozen!

6. The OA

The story starts off with the homecoming of a kidnap victim who left blind but came back with her sight. This series brings some mysticism along with the mystery of the kidnapping. This series is as mysterious as the title of the show. What does the OA stand for? Why is it so important that the main character reconnects with her friend? You'll find out once you watch the show!

7. Grey's Anatomy

Oldie, but a goodie. If you haven't seen Grey's then you should watch it. There are 12 seasons on Netflix, so get some popcorn and get ready to binge this hospital drama. The best part is even if you get squeamish, you can still watch this show! All of the drama, love interests, and intense surgeries make the show so compelling!

8. New Girl

New Girl is a great show about a quirky girl who ends up living with three guys. It is a great comedy that shows how relationships between women and men can be complicated even if you're not dating any of them. The characters are great and make you want to keep watching!

9. Stranger Things

This show created quite a bit of buzz at the end of the summer when Netflix put the whole season online! This show brings new age mystery to the 1980's. You follow around 3 kids and their new friend as they search for their friend who mysteriously disappeared. There is always teenage drama, family coming together, and a lot of almost real life Dungeons and Dragons.

10. Criminal Minds

This is not for the faint of heart. Criminal Minds follows a team who psychoanalyzes horrendous serial killers. The eclectic team comes together to catch the worst criminals out there. There are 10 seasons on Netflix, so go ahead for a night of mystery.

11. Sherlock

Sherlock brings together two unlikely friends who com together to solve crimes that even the police can't explain. Sherlock and Watson are a great pair and the show is basically a movie every episode. There is mystery, romance, and a sense of danger that brings you coming back for more!

12. Leverage

Leverage is a show about a team of used-to-be criminals who have come together to help people (and only still for good). This cast of characters use their individual skills to hack, steal, and keep safe what ever their clients need and all for the good of the people. Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
