There is going to be a point in everyone's lives where they face anxiety. Anxiety can make life hard to live life peacefully for it makes you feel afraid and unsure. Whether your anxiety is once in a while or chronic, here are 12 bible verses that can ease anxiety and put your mind and body at ease knowing it is all in God's hands.

1. "Cast all your anxiety on Him; because He cares for you." - I Peter 5:7

This verse reminds me that I am cared for and that there is no need for me to be anxious for it is all in God's hands.

2. "The Lord is greater than the giants you face." - I John 4:4

There is no problem that you face that the Lord cannot handle, He is greater than your worries and troubles.

3. "When you go through deep waters, I will be there with you." - Isaiah 43:2

Knowing that every step of the way God is with me brings me peace. When I go through trouble and I feel like I can't handle it, I am reminded He is there by my side.

4. "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything." - Philippians 4:6

Instead of worrying about what is next in life, I pray to God that He will protect me and that He has a plan for me.

5. "The Lord is on my side; I will not fear." - Psalm 118:6

When I remind myself that the Lord is there for me by my side, I feel peace because I am not alone.

6. "What we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory He will reveal to us later." - Romans 8:18

When I feel like I can't get through whatever I am facing, this verse reminds me that nothing is permanent and that God will bring us glory after suffering.

7. "Set your mind on things above." - Colossians 3:2

Instead of worrying about what is going on in my life, I focus on God and realize it is not in my control.

8. "When I am afraid, I put my trust in you." - Psalm 56:3

When I am scared about the future and what it may hold, I give my trust to Him and know He will not give me anything I cannot handle.

9. “When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is bigger than I." - Psalm 61:2

When I feel like my heart is carrying more ham I can handle, I trust that God will take some of the load for me.

10. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9

This reminds me to stay strong during difficult times. Strength can get me through anything and I should not be afraid. God is with me.

11. “Trust in him at all times, you people; pour your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” - Psalm 62:8

Trusting in God's plan can bring peace within a load of anxiety. When I pour my heart to Him, I feel myself feel like I can breathe better.

12. “When you’ve done everything you can do, that’s when God will step in and do what you can’t do.” - 2 Corinthians 12:10

All we can do is the best we can. Let God take care of the rest. What I cannot do, God will help me

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant

There's always chaos in the restaurant business.

10 Signs You Work In A Restaurant
Brisanis

Working in the restaurant industry is possibly the most fundamentally challenging occupation I have ever experienced when it comes to hospitality and customer service. When you go to a five-star restaurant you expect the time of your life, a two hour getaway, a walk through another time period (rustic Italy, France, Spain, etc), or simply a honeymoon undergo. What you don't see are the behind the scenes scut work: carrying trays, polishing glassware and silverware, kitchen chaos, the list is endless. Now, I'm not saying being a host, server, or bartender is the worst thing in the whole wide world, there are definitely worse things. But the fact of the matter is that it isn't always sunshine and rainbows. In the two years that I have spent in restaurant and customer service, I have spoken my share of expletives, yelled at kitchen staff, and dealt with not-so-happy guests. It isn't easy to keep a bright and shiny smile on your face when all you want to do is choke every person who walks near you. Anyone who has spent even two weeks working in a restaurant understands the rigor and stress that comes with it. Restaurant culture is a tiny world in and of itself that operates on its own principles and creates its own society. It even has its own language. The sayings "runner", "corner", and "on a bus" wouldn't make sense to anyone otherwise. My mother and I both work in a restaurant and the best advice I can give someone going out to eat is to treat us like people. Yes...believe it or not we are people, people. Say "please" and "thank you", or stack your cleared plates before a busser gets to the table. Trust me, the gesture goes a lot farther than you may think.

So, if you work in a restaurant, you can relate with the following points. If not, check out how the brain of a restaurant service (or any customer service) worker actually works. See if you can identify any crazy weird habits your friends have a tendency to partake in.

If you are in high school, here are some things that you can learn from before you get to college. If you have already been through your freshman year of college, hopefully you can relate to the things I have learned in college.
