There is nothing, I repeat, nothing better than the tastes, smells, and views of fall.

1. The smell of the air.

Imagine this, you wake up in the morning, open your windows, you hear the birds chirping, the leaves rustling and then a gust of wind comes in and you smell that crisp cold morning air. How could you not love it?

2.Fall clothes!

Hey ladies, this is the clothing season you've all been waiting for; sweaters, jeans, boots of all sorts, and of course the beloved jackets!

3. The outings of apple and pumpkin picking!

I love apples and pumpkins in every form. They are great as decoration and foods! But, being able to go on a hayride and out into a field to pick the perfect carving pumpkin or the juiciest looking apples makes the experience so much more memorable.

4. THE FOOD!

Apple pie, turkey, cider, squash soup, pumpkin pie, apple crisp, cranberry sauce, stuffing; is your mouth watering yet?

5. Halloween

Of course Halloween is on the list! It is one of the most famous aspects of fall. As a kid I couldn't wait to pick out my costume and go door to door Halloween night saying the classic, "trick or treat". As a college student, of course I still dress up and go out with friends but oh man do I wish I still could get some free candy.

6. Corn mazes

Can't wait to get into a gigantic corn maze and have a small panic attack because you have no clue how to get out? Me neither!!

7. The rain

Ah the rain in the fall is amazing; it is like no other rainy day in spring, winter, or summer. The leaves get wet and stick to the ground, the smells is so fresh, the sounds are so soothing. I can't imagine anyone not liking it.

8. The scenery

Well of course I had to mention the scenery! Fall is so beautiful for that very short period of time we have to enjoy it. The leaves are bright oranges, yellows, and reds which makes the entire forest look like something out of a book.

9. Those extra chilly nights

I don't know about you but I love those chilly nights of hot cups of cider and mounds of blankets while watching movies.

10. Hiking

With all the leaves and beautiful colors hiking to the top of the mountain is breathtaking (not just because you are exhausted).

11. The sunsets

That prominent orange hue in the sunset is something you can only get in the fall.

12. One season closer to Christmas!!

Fall is great and all but Christmas and Winter is on it's way! Ahhh!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
