It's festival season and there is nothing like an EDM festival.

The people, music, and atmosphere is unlike any other. Every year people from all over come together to experience the music. Everyone should at least try to go to an EDM festival once, even if it isn't their cup of tea.

There is no better way to describe an EDM festival other then, you had to be there.

1. PLUR

Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. This acronym is used by ravers at festivals to support each other throughout the experience.

2. Costumes

Whether it's fuzzy boots, flower crowns, or glitter; there is something exciting about assembling your outfit leading up to the festival.

3. Squad

Always have a good group of friends to enhance your experience and keep the good vibes flowing throughout the day.

4. Stage Display

It takes weeks to put together the various types of stages for a festival. Don't forget to check out and appreciate the stage while your there.

5. Music

The main reason to rave and rage at a festival! Seeing and hearing your favorite EDM artist live is definitely a game changer.

6. Light shows

The different lights and lasers used during a set transforms the way you see and feel the music.

7. Dancing

An EDM festival usually lasts more than one day, so bring comfortable shoes to dance all day and night.

8. Being on someone's shoulders

This might be a weird concept, but many artists will ask for girls to get on a guy's shoulders during their set. If your comfortable enough and a guy asks you, go for it. You get a whole different view and can see the whole crowd; great for taking pictures too.

9. Silent Disco

Not all festivals have a silent disco, but if you are at one that does; try it. You get a pair of headphones that connects to the dj's set and all other noises are blocked out. It is like you are in your own little world because the people passing by cannot hear what you are listening to.

10. EDM is NOT about drugs

You do not need to use drugs to have a good time at an EDM festival. You should be there to have a positive experience and enjoy the music and surroundings.

11. Kandi

Yes, that is kandi with a K and no you don't eat it. This type of Kandi is beaded bracelets that you share with other fellow ravers using PLUR to trade from wrist to wrist to show you are enjoying their company.

12. Memories

With all the videos and pictures you will be taking, make sure you bring a portable charger for your phone to make those memories last. Capture the moments, but also make sure you vibe in real time with the people around you.

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour
StableDiffusion

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
