There are many stories about insane asylums and the tortures that took place behind their walls. As terrifying as they are, more often than not, they turn out to be true. Even though the asylum itself (and the way it was run) is menacing, they're beautiful buildings. They are also almost always considered haunted, which is pretty cool. I've always loved abandoned buildings; their histories that just disappeared along with their inhabitants. But these insane asylums are definitely places that I want to visit.

1. Letchworth Village

2. Rolling Hills Asylum

3. Kings Park Psychiatric Center

4. Rockland Psychiatric Center

5. Trenton Psychiatric Hospital

6. Danver's State Hospital

7. Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum

8. Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital

9. Willard Asylum For The Clinically Insane

10. Utica State Hospital

11. Overbrook Insane Asylum

12. Sunland Asylum

As creepy as these all seem, they were once beautiful buildings, built to try to help people. Even though the treatments they tried to use were barbaric and not helpful at all, they were originally built with good intentions. Mental health is something every person has, and sometimes there are illnesses involved. The insane asylums were originally created to help the clinically insane patients live a life that was better than what they had before being admitted into the asylum. They may be broken down, abandoned and "haunted," but they would still be cool to visit.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
