The 90s. What an era. It was the time of "Friends" and "Saved by the Bell" and "all that and a bag of chips." And now so many of those trends are coming back and inserting themselves into our Targets and Forever 21s.

1. Crop Tops

Especially paired with high waisted bottoms, crop tops are all the rage.

2. Sneakers With Dresses

Do you want to be casual? Cute? Out on the town? Goin' for a run? You're good! This look has you totally covered.

3. Denim

It's versatile, easy to pair with basically anything, and it looks good on everyone. Where could we go wrong?

4. Chokers

While the name could be slightly misleading, chokers can dress up any outfit and are simple to pop on. They come in tons of styles and anyone can find one that will fit them.

5. Scrunchies

Who would want to use a normal hair tie when you could use an *exciting* one?

6. Bell Bottoms

So much ankle room.

7. Sack Dresses

These are perfect when you're going out for a big dinner, but you know you'll be taking pictures afterwards. No worries! No one will be able to see your 4 month old food baby!

8. Clunky Shoes (Especially Platforms)

These are perfect for a statement piece of an outfit. If you have an underwhelming dress that you don't know what to do with, put on a pair of big, chunky sandals, and you're good to go.

9. Jean Skirt

While in the 90s, this was more of a mini skirt trend, but it has evolved into a buttons-down-the-middle, mid thigh trend.

10. Dark Lipstick

Paired with subtle eyes and a calmer outfit, this trend can make you stick out in the crowd--and in a good way.

11. Chunky Sweaters

Going back to #7 on this one; they're perfect for hiding food babies!

12. High Ponytails

I'm not exactly sure why this came back. They give me killer headaches. But at least they're cute, right?

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings.
