Because apparently we don't deserve to be well-rested.

One of the unfortunate side effects of being a college student is being constantly sleep-deprived. It's not something most of us are actually proud of, even when we pretend to be, which is why when we are presented with the rare opportunity to go to bed at a decent time during a particularly exhausting week, we take it.

Or at least attempt to.

1. At first, you're just stoked that you have the opportunity to go to bed early.



2. You do all the relaxing things the beauty vloggers on Youtube suggest so you can get the most out of your beauty sleep.


3. And then...you put your phone down and you go to bed.


4. ...Only to sit there, awake, for hours.


5. Frustrated, you Google all the sleep remedies. You try drinking tea. It doesn't help.


6. At this point, you've lost all hope.


7. Then, as you sit in your bed thinking about all the times you got to experience sleep and took it for granted...you finally crash.



8. And for a moment, everything is beautiful and perfect.



9. Until this happens.


10. Which makes you want to do this.



11. And then you turn to the one friend who has never let you down: coffee.


You stay hopeful that maybe, one day soon, you'll have a sleep schedule that doesn't make you feel like death. But until then, live your nocturnal life to the fullest.

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.
