Huffpost.com

We've all done it. We spend hours in front of our computers watching YouTube videos and telling ourselves, "Just one more video." Procrastination at its finest. Whether it's putting off that essay or ignoring the chapter you need to read, YouTube has a plethora of videos at your fingertips to distract you. It's okay. It'll get done eventually. So here's eleven of the most addicting YouTube channels to fulfill all of your procrastination needs.

1. Cat videos

Need I say more? This isn't really a channel, but YouTube is filled with an abundance of adorable and hilarious cat videos to watch at your leisure.

2. Miniature Space

This channel, a personal favorite, it dedicated to making tiny food in tiny kitchens with, you guessed it, tiny utensils. It's adorable and oddly satisfying.

3. Dr. Sandra Lee (aka Dr. Pimple Popper)

Admit it. You'd be lying if you said you haven't fallen victim to watching one of her procedures. There's just something about all of that gross stuff coming out of that disturbingly large bump. You can't look away.

4. CathyMay15

You may remember her from a video that went viral of her singing something called "Boom Boom Way". Her videos are hilarious and her message to her haters is actually pretty inspiring.

5. Makeup tutorials

Even if you only wear makeup once every three months (I mean, 8 AM's are killer. Am I right??), you're still going to watch hours upon hours of these pretending you're going to try them one day.

6. Creepypasta

There's something about watching scary videos while sitting home alone. No matter how scared you get, you just keep watching. Oh well, Slenderman still isn't as scary as that exam tomorrow.

7. Vlogbrothers

John and Hank Green post an assortment of videos about literally everything under the sun. They can be quite educational, but with a good amount of stupidity mixed in.

8. Buzzfeed

Okay, c'mon. You can go from watching videos about guys trying things girls have to endure to dogs eating brunch in just a few videos. You can get lost here.

9. DIY Videos

You can pretend like you're going to make that bird feeder all you want, but you're really just procrastinating. But, it's still fun to watch people make stuff, even if you're going to save it and never actually do it. Or try it and fail. Those are entertaining too.

10. Miranda Sings

Okay this girl is just hilarious. She tries things you'd never dream of trying and makes hilarious music videos. You could just watch her face for hours.

11. TED Talks

These are actually really motivational and you can really learn a lot. So you can procrastinate by pretending like you're doing something meaningful. And you'll probably learn something in the process!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
