1. The cone will forever be the best ice cream you've ever had.

Why go to places like Dairy Queen during the summer when you can have the best soft serve there is at The Cone?

2. It's not strange for you to see fields, then restaurants, then more fields.

No matter where you turn in West Chester while going on a drive, you'll probably see nothing but houses, fields and farms and restaurants. West Chester is the perfect little mix of it all.

3. The Beckett Ridge Kroger is home to everyone you've ever known.

True life: It's impossible to go to the Beckett Ridge Kroger – even if it's at 1 a.m. –without seeing someone you know.

4. You were either around when Lakota was all one school or when they split.

And you're either a "Beat East" or "Beat West" kind of a person. There is no in between.

5. You've been to "The Hill," one of the coolest parts of West Chester.

The hill that overlooks West Chester at the Beckett Ridge Golf course has probably been your hang out spot at one point, and it is definitely a pretty site to see.

6. If you grew up here in the past 16 years, Skatetown USA was your elementary/middle school hangout.

Carpooling to skating parties was the best part of your middle school social life.

7. You casually furniture shop at IKEA.

All of West Chester freaked out when the Swedish home furnishing store, IKEA, first opened in 2008, and now when we need some new furniture or home decor, we just make a short drive to IKEA.

8. Driving through Olde West Chester makes you feel like you're in a TV show.

Olde West Chester makes you feel like your driving through the cute, small towns they have in TV shows, and it's a cute little feature to West Chester.

9. You'll always call AMC "The Rave."

No question.

10. You can find anything and everything you need in Union Centre.

Fast food, gyms, library, a movie theatre, Starbucks – Union Centre has it all.

11. You've loved and hated West Chester all at the same time.

You aren't truly from West Chester if you haven't complained about it at least once. No matter how boring it feels at times, West Chester is one of my favorite places in the world, and I wouldn't have wanted to grow up anywhere else.
