11 Ways To Prepare For The Spring Semester

1. Buy a pack of new ink pens that you’ll lose by the second week of class, but it doesn’t matter, because you were only going to end up using one of them the entire semester anyway.

2. Tell yourself you’re going to write your assignments in your planner like a good student. Right.

3. Memorize your schedule, but print out a detailed sheet, because you have six classes and you’ll never remember where you’re supposed to be at any given time.

4. Immediately begin regretting signing up for an 8 a.m. class.

5. Binge watch a TV series on Netflix as your last moments of freedom. But let’s be real, you’ll have plenty of time to finish it later, during the time you should be studying.

6. Promise yourself that you WILL be on the honor roll this semester. But remember that it won’t be the end of the world if you’re not.

7. Think happy thoughts. Only four months until you have two and a half months of freedom.

8. Eat a bunch of junk food. Don’t worry about those five extra pounds you gained over the break. You’re about to walk all of that off, anyway, since all of your classes are in different buildings, and they’re all on the top floor of each.

9. Stress about your textbooks. Then stop, because you never buy them anyway.

10. Don't change your major again until next spring. You changed it during the fall semester, and you've probably got the form memorized by now.

11. Thank God you have the chance to attend another semester, but silently beg him to let summer come early this year because 20-degree weather isn’t working for you anymore.
