Now that the recruitment process is over and we have all found our places and our people, we can start to enjoy the true meaning of sisterhood. Rush was hard, exhausting, traumatizing at times, laughable and finally over. And now we know we’ve just joined a sorority.
1. You just went from having no siblings to upwards of 150, and it is so overwhelming and so exciting all at the same time.
2. You’ve been a new member for maybe a month, and the T-shirt drawer is already exploding.
3. Your social calendar is suddenly filled with events, and now you have to ask yourself, “To craft or to cocktail?”
4. You unintentionally srat so hard your roommates don’t know how to handle the awesomeness.
5. People are constantly saying hi to you, and you now have to think about their names, even if you saw them 10 minutes ago.
6. You get these random moments of joy for knowing you’re in the best sorority out there.
7. You can walk into the house, sit down on the couch, and stay there for hours on end, laughing and talking with your new sisters.
8. You’ve always joked about the “sorority squat,” but now you know it to be true. And you secretly love it.
9. Big Reveal is next week, and you are literally counting down the days. No, really, you have it written down in three different places, and you downloaded a countdown app just for Big Reveal. You actually can’t wait any longer.
10. Your pledge class group message is giving you nonstop phone notifications. It’s gotten so bad, you keep your phone on "do not disturb" mode just so it doesn’t vibrate constantly.
11. As clichéd as it may seem, you know you’re where you’re meant to be. Your sisters won’t judge you when you buy too many pumpkin spice lattes or when you binge watch Netflix for hours instead of doing that paper that was assigned weeks ago and is due tomorrow. Let’s be honest, they’ll probably be right there with you drinking too many PSLs and watching too much Netflix.
