Beautiful places, smiling faces: that's what South Carolina is all about. There are hidden gems and places to visit all over the state. From theme parks to wilderness adventures, this state has a little bit of everything to offer. The following is eleven must visit places in South Carolina.

1. Downtown Charleston

This historic town has so much to offer. Some of South Carolina's most popular and most beautiful attractions are located here. Whether you would like to ride in a carriage down Rainbow Row or walk across the Battery and play in the infamous Pineapple Fountain, Charleston has a little bit of it all.

2. Reedy River Falls

One of Greenville's hottest spots. Come to town and take a stroll across the one-of-a-kind Liberty Bridge.

3. Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach is a hot spot for fun attractions. Visit the beach, an aquarium or even take a ride on the Sky Wheel - the second largest Ferris wheel in North America!

4. SC State House & The University of South Carolina

If you are looking to explore a beautiful place full of history, the South Carolina State House and the University of South Carolina are two of your best bets. Find and count the stars on the state house or spend some time on USC's beautiful Horseshoe.

5. Congaree National Park

Hike down the boardwalk and admire the beauty of nature and the many sites that Conagree National Park has to offer.

South Carolina's oldest bridge a chance to explore the historic trails at Poinsett Bridge.
