It’s so difficult and heartbreaking to watch as the world is clawing itself apart. Whether it’s police officer brutality, BLM rallies/protests that turn into bloodbaths, or bombs in dumpsters, it seems that everywhere I look, something horrifying is happening. The only thing that keeps my mind at peace is prayer and Scripture, and knowing that I can rest assured that no matter what is happening in the world, my God still sits on the throne. And the only thing I can really do is speak Scripture over our our nation, our world, and its leaders, and rest in Him.

For us, the Christian citizens of the world:

With everything going on in the world right now, this is an opportunity for us to share the love of Christ with people. We need to, as Christians, stand up and fight in the best way we can: prayer.

"The Lord your God is in your midst, a victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy." Zephaniah 3:17

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

"I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." 1 Timothy 2:1-4

For our leaders:

Pray that they will turn to God, and that they will seek His wisdom in every choice they make. Pray that God would be honored in the decisions they make, and that only those who will heed His voice will be placed in office.

“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you.” James 1:5

“Without wise leadership, a nation falls; there is safety in having many advisors.” Proverbs 11:14

“With my help, leaders rule, and lawmakers legislate fairly. With my help, governors govern, along with all in legitimate authority. Those who look for me find me.” Proverbs 8:15-16

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” Matthew 6:33

For our nation/world:

What happens in one country affects countless others. Pray that people would turn to God for help, and put their trust in Him regarding their needs.

"For kingship belongs to the Lord, and He rules over the nations." Psalm 22:28

“He will be the stability of your times, a wealth of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge…” Isaiah 33:6

“Godliness makes a nation great, but sin is a disgrace to any people.” Proverbs 14:34

“Your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.” Matthew 6:10

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
