"Pokémon GO" has taken over the world in every sense of the phrase. I myself haven't downloaded the game because I am positive that I would love it and get addicted, thereby throwing productivity out the window. However, I haven't missed out entirely because I live vicariously through my boyfriend, or at least I try to. I've never played the game, nor have I watched the cartoons, so my knowledge of the virtual world is meager. If you, like me, are part of the 0.00001 percent of generation Y that are Pokemon virgins, this article's for you.

1. Trying to learn the lingo.

Lures? Pokéstops? What?

2. Realizing from the way they're trying to explain how Pokémon works that your friend/sibling/S.O./coworker hasn't ever had to do it before.

"So lures are like... a bait. You put them on Pokéstops and like... the Pokémon will gather around."

"So lures get you a lot of Pokémon?"

"No you have to come back and catch them."

"With the ball thingies?"

*facepalm*

3. Sitting outside and making a game out of how many people you can spot playing the game on their phones.

It's really not very hard.

4. Watching someone play over their shoulder in an attempt to understand what's going on.

Still don't really get it.

5. Feeling left out.

Memes, videos and jokessurrounding "Pokémon GO" have flooded the internet, only some of which you find funny and the rest of which you don't get.

6. Temptation.

I looks like so much fun! It probably won't take up too much time...

7. Seeing others lose their lives to the game and snapping out of your momentary lapse.

That was so close.

8. Listening to a loved one gush or rant about Pokémon and trying to understand in order to offer appropriate excitement or sympathy.

9. Making halfhearted attempts to learn more Pokémon names aside from Pikachu and Squirtle.

It's the first of its kind - a game that combines virtual reality and physical reality. Players have been making new friends, getting more exercise and exploring places they wouldn't have otherwise. You have to admit that it's probably the healthiest video game every invented.

11. Reaching at point where you're at peace with your role in the "Pokémon GO" takeover as a spectator.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
