When you work in the music industry, there are a lot of different people that you meet. Some are, well, “out there” and some are more normal. I have barely been working for my internship for a month and I have already seen so many different types. Here are some of the people I have encountered during my time working at concerts.
1. The drunk girl.
This girl just needs to go home already. You can find her carrying her shoes and talking loudly. In my opinion, the poor girl just needs to go to bed.
2. The overly drunk crying girl.
One step above the drunk girl, she’s sobbing uncontrollably about something small. Maybe she’s just hungry. Maybe she dropped her keys and it was such a hassle to pick them up off the ground. Who knows?
3. The frontman of the band.
Calm, cool, and collected. This guy knows he’s hot stuff and he’s not afraid to show it. Some frontmen can be really cocky, while some are actually down to earth.
4. The youngins.
These kids are here to have a good time on their night off together. All underage, they always stick out like a sore thumb.
5. The local legends.
These are the crazy guys that everyone knows (and know how to handle). They have a special way of dressing or acting where you know they are just something else.
6. The mosh pit lovers.
You will find these people in a group of at least five. They can hardly wait to start the next mosh pit. They are practically bursting at the seams, and you just know that when they get started, you had better watch out.
7. The couple that’s “so in love."
You can find them hanging all over each other making out. Get a room (and preferably not the bathroom of the bar)!
8. Overly hyped dude.
Like, please calm down. I know you are excited, but please take a chill pill. This is not something to get THAT excited about.
9. The band girlfriend.
Sometimes these girls assume they get special treatment just because they are dating someone in the band. However, that is not usually the case. On the other hand, some are very humble and are just there to have a good time supporting their significant other.
10. The no personal space guy.
He stands right in front of you in the crowd. Please, I do not want you in my bubble. I get that we are going to be closer together because we are at a show, but you are practically on top of me. Back off!
11. The staff.
Last, but most definitely not the least, they are hardworking and don’t stop after the show is over. They are there to clean up the mess people made and getting ready for the next show!
